Please describe your workplace, pay, what part of the country, etc. Overall how do you like your job? I was a PT tech in a small clinic, and my boss was great- he really inspired me to pursue this field, and gave me a sort of passion for it. I just don’t want o be diappointed, so lets hear it- Rant away if you must- I truly understand, but also tell of good things please. Also, where di dyou go to school, and how hard was it to get into the program?

I am a physical therapist assistant and I am currently employed at a 126 bed skilled nursing facility in Nebraska. I have had some experience in school at some outpatient clinics and a hospital. I love what I do, there is just a satisfaction that I just couldn’t get doing anything else. Being that I just graduated in August and I live in a more populated area of Nebraska I started out at the low end of the pay scale at around $15-16 per hour. I went to Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, which is a small private medical geared college. I was able to get into the program fairly easily but now I believe that there is a small waiting list to get into the program because they only take about 24 people per year.
