I find in the past few months, I cannot stand or walk for considerable lengths of time without alot of pain in my legs; I have had physical therapy before, but it doesn’t do the job. What medication would you recommend that has really helped you? I’m going on vacation and would like to be able to do some walking without the discomfort. Thank you.

Aleve is good stuff but you know what helps a lot? Put an icepack on your lower back/hips for 20 minutes. Do that as often as you can throughout the day and you’ll be surprised at how much it helps. You might want to visit a chiropracter before you leave too.

I can suggest something that worked for me…in the thigh of the leg which hurts you locate the muscles insertion in the buttock area with your thumb. Press and push in a circular motion and this should hurt pretty bad. When you finish after about 3 minutes repeat. Do this several times a day. Stretch your knee up to your chest when done. I sleep with a long bed pillow this has eliminated my problem try it. You must push in that spot whenever you feel pain.

I have the same problems. I have a broken tailbone which put pressure in my nerves down there. Try taking anti-inflammatories like aspirin or aleve. See a chiropractor that may help.Sciatica is a symptom to a bigger problem.
