I just finished my first year of college with a major of Athletic Training. I have always wanted to be a physical therapist but I did not know what major to choose because it is only offered as a masters. Is Athletic Training a good major to choose and will it be easy for me to get my pre-requisites for the PT school?

Some of courses you take for the ATC may overlap with some of the prerequisite courses for the PT program. These careers usually compliment each other well, as PT can be viewed as an extension and progression from ATC.
What I suggest you do is to starting looking at what schools you may wish to attend for PT school. Get an idea of what classes your particular program requires for the prerequisite courses. Start taking those that will fullfill both your major and PT requirements and then begin taking the remaining prereqs as you find time in your schedule. Start planning now…especially if your ATC and PT program do not overlap.
Good luck. Go to the APTA website for a list of accredited PT schools: http://www.apta.org
