Hello out there in yahoo answers land
This question goes out to any of the Physical Therapist Assistants on here.
I am really interested in this career, and have done tons of research about it but would love to hear some feedback about the job from people who have done it first hand.

This is a great career and one that can also help you should you decide to become a Physical Therapist. I have worked both with PTA’s and PT’s. Some PTA’s love the work and are happy to continue there careers in that position. I have also know those who have gone back to school to get the DPT.
Needless to say, a PTA is a two year program at a technical or community college. PTA’s do about 80% what a PT does, with the expection that PT’s do evaluations and develop a care plan (which the PTA follows).
Rehabilitation is an upbeat profession filled with great people and I think you would be picking a great field.
Good luck!~
