even in my head. I have a feeling of slight fluid retention in my left leg and right arm only. I also have a fluid feeling and sometimes pain in my heart area. A massage therapist told me that two of my dics were our of place, I have had chest x-trays and went to physical therapy, I have really bad post nasal drip and allergies too along with heart palpatations and low engery levels. Could this all be from the injury, if so how long does it take to recover from a serious imapct injury, I know I have chest problems of some sort because of it and it is causing problems in my left side and heart area or maybey I now have heart problems becauuse of it but I had an EKG that was ok and normal chest x-rays.

Its obvious you need counseling. I doubt if anything anyone says will help, since you seem to be roaring down the track to neurosis. Without treatment you may never recover. Even cars can’t be repaired back to “factory” condition – why do you think bodies can be? Fact of life: we age. ANother fact of life: every year puts more wear and tear on our bodies. THird fact of life: We’ll never be 10 again.
DO you:
1. Watch what you eat
2. Exercize
3. Get enuf sleep
4 Avoid stress and practice stress reduction techniques
5 Try to keep a positive attitude
6 Take control of your life.
Certainly you should listen to what the message therapist told you – you should also do exactly what your horoscope says in each of the 10 papers you subscribe to… You know the 10 papers you need for the litter boxes of the 213 cats you try to take care of. But I digress… Good luck. Seek Help.

Dear Marge T,
It sounds possible to me that you are experiencing symptoms not uncommon after trauma. It may be that counseling would be helpful, but first I would seek evaluation from a physician who is trained to deal with with issues related to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromylagia. In terms of bodywork, cranio-sacral therapy or zero balancing could also help as well as a chiropractor. It is very possible for structural and connective tissue dysfunction to create what you are experiencing. Starting there could be the best place to start as it sounds as if you are very in tune with your body and you might gain some self help tools from a bodyworker. Chi Gong is another modality that you could use to help yourself.

I have been having the same type symptoms since 17 NOV 2009. I had a initial episode of 2 HR jumps to 215 or above in afghanistan….I have had the symptoms you describe ever since and after 9 doctors and every test imaginable I still have no resolve. I did hurt my lower back twice to the degree that I could not sit and was in horrible pain for weeks but not sure if that was what did it. Of course it was called PTSD once and still getting it mentioned every so often…..I am not that guy to have anxiety problems though, never have been. I’ll eat those words if some therapy and medication fixes me though and might even bet my Army career that it is not that. Who knows though…..I sure don’t.
