I’ve have had a herniated disc for a little over three months that is accompanied with severe right leg pain. I’ve been to physical therapy, had steroid injections, took medications, heat, ice, etc. Nothing has helped the pain and I can’t go to a chiropractor.
Over the weekend, I re-injured my back vacuuming. I couldn’t move at all for hours and have spent the rest of the weekend in bed / in severe pain. I going to make an appointment tomorrow but they don’t really help me. I need relief and no one seems to take me seriously because I’m only 18, and all of this is really making me feel depressed. I can barely move without pain, am no longer able to exercise comfortably, etc.
Do you have any advice as to what I can do next, if anything? I Need Relief, I can’t go on like this! Thank you.

My mother never missed work until she did the same thing so I know this is very serious…I will check back can you tell why you can’t go to the chiropractor & then I will see if I can be of any help.EDIT: I think my mother did go to a chiropractor & she was also given ways to exercise….If the reason you can’t go is money maybe we can find one in your area that will work with you. I have one that totally accepts whatever a person can give. There are many like this. I will check back & if you can explain we can figure out what you can do to work around it.

DON’T GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR.
They are treated badly by all other medical professionals because they are CRAPPY.
Talk to your doctor, and go see a physio therapist.
The best you can do is rest, because that will let you heal.
its like getting a cut on the bottom of your foot. it will never heal if you keep walking. it might be a pain in the ***, but if you rest a LOT, it has to heal.

When in treatment, don’t relate to insurance….make sure can cure is more of your concern. If you have tried all others and no effect, then the last choice is go to Toa Payoh Tong Chai Chinese Hospital & Training Centre (At Central) for possible treatment……at low or no cost.
This situation, you can’t wait as it get worst with time. Get treated as soon as possible.

Why can’t you go to a Chiropractor?
If your teeth were killing you, wouldn’t you go to a Dentist?

I know how pain that you can’t really do much about is.. it sucks.
Have you been prescribed anything?
The only thing for pain relief is some form of a narcotic pain reliever or surgery of some sort.
If you aren’t getting anything for pain besides just naproxin or stuff like that try going online and ordering a small amount of kratom to test it out.
I used kratom for pain relief for a long time.
You don’t really need to use it daily because it can be addictive. It activates opiate receptors and by that it helps pain.
I hope you get some relief sometime soon.

Stay calm Colorful. I understand your pain. When I have outrageously overwhelming pain, I know two medicines that relive my pain. IB Profin or Aleve(naproxin sodium). They work perfectly. Aleve works better and longer. Make sure you get plenty of rest and try to do things that keep you relaxed, like coloring or reading your favorite book, or listening to calming music. Stressing only makes the pain worse, so stay happy. If these things don’t work, Ask your doctor for a stronger or better pain reliever.I hope you get better. Good luck.
