My daughter wants to play sports, but she is so prone to her joints popping out of place. We’ve spent months in physical therapy only to have her shoulder etc. pop out again by the tiniest injury. She is double jointed to say the least. Her skin is not stretchy though. Her doctor doesn’t have an answer. I don’t like her taking Advil each and every day for all the pain she is in.

please have a bone density check done on your daughter. women are so much more flexiable than men. it seems that her body may need a vitiam supplement, or she has reached a rapid growth sport. i am not trying to scare you. just a concerned senior citizen , who played pro sports as well as coached. the checkup is well advised. then your daughter will be able to participate in the sport of her choice. please there is no offence intended in this answer . one advil a day. will cause long term effects . thank you. she will be fine. at this point safe sport. track field. 200 yards and less. sprint/releay. best of luck

If she’s had multiple dislocations in multiple joints, I would follow up with someone who can screen her for Ehrles-Danlos Syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder where the tissues in the body are very fragile and are prone to injury and dislocation. If that’s the case, I’d avoid contact sports.
