I work with two little boys who are disabled one of them is able to walk, while the other is not, currently we are trying to strengthen their trunks to help them maintain and gain balance as well as attempting to strengthen their arms and help them use their hands does anyone know of any sites where I can get any information on physical therapy exercises that I can do with them to help them achieve these goals? Anything you may know would be a huge help! Thanks!

i would check out webmd.com otherwise you could call around to physical therapy places and ask. they should be more than willing to help with any questions. maybe you could sit in an watch/look around and get some ideas.

I agree with the first post, it would be reckless and neglent to recommend any exercise without a medical history and evaluation.

Are they in physical therapy with a professional? If not talk to the Dr before you start any thing and get a referral to one. They can give you specific exercises to help you but it does need to be guided. If they qualify for medicaid than most states will pay for it. If they are having problems with the hands they may need occupational therapy as well. Good Luck!
