The pain starts in my midback, pretty much hurts on the left side only. the pain also sometimes radiates around my rib/ribs, left and occassionally right side, does not get worse when I breathe. Pain is constant almost as soon as I get up but gets worse after long standing (work) or walking .Also, upper left arm always feels like it’s burning sensation. If I stretch (towards the front arching my back) it feels like someone is tearing my back up. Neck is starting to feel stiff probably from clenching? This has been going on for a while. Physical therapy not much help. Been to Chiropractor a few times (not within the past 3 months) and it just seems like it’s getting worse. Anyone else?

I suggest going to your family doctor. It sounds like chronic back pain to me. You could also try ice/hot patches or cold compress on your back to see if it will help.
Below is medweb.com. The best advice I or anyone can give is go to your doctor and specifically ask about your aching back. Only a doctor can make a medical diagnosis. Then get further treatment from there

SCIATICA!
Go back to your physician. Better yet, change physicians and tell him what you told us. If he doesn’t diagnose sciatica, then change doctors. The chiropractor will not be able to help you. He is only making your condition worse. Your doctor will prescribe the necessary medication for you to take as directed, and within approximately three to four weeks on disability, you will be as good as new.
Yes, for three to four weeks you will still be in pain. But, as you continue to take your medication the pain will abruptly stop. You’ve gone this long, you can tough it out. Believe me, the pain will subside give or take three to four weeks.

I am not a MD, but I have had symptoms like this. Have you had your kidneys checked? My problem was that I was developing kidney stones.
How long have you been in PT? It can take several weeks to notice a difference in the pain. You also need to do the work at home. Your PT should have given you a list of exercises you can do at home.
The one other thing I could suggest is to ask your doc to check for nerve or tendon damage. These things cannot be seen on a x-ray.
You might also see a podiatrist or a sleep doctor (pulmonoligist). There is a condition call plantar facitus. The tendons in your feet stretch too far and becoming like an over stretched rubber band cause it. They do not return to their normal shape. This can cause pain in your legs, back, and on up. You should also see the sleep doctor for a sleep test. It could be the way that you are sleeping. Some people develop sleep problems over time. Things like night terrors can cause you to do wild things in your sleep. This might have caused the pain. A new bed/mattress or two many pillows can cause muscle cramping too.

I have been working with oils and herbs for many year, and one thing for sure before I suggest anything I would have to know what meds you are on, and if you are allergic to anything., because even alternative medication could back fire and cause more problems. I have worked with allot of people in the past years who has been in pain or emotional problem I call them my journeys for each one goes a different paths and I never want to cause anyone more pain then they all ready have. Sometimes a physical pain could be caused by stress and it is as real as any injuries. I have worked with alternative medicine for 20+ years and I found that sometimes a certain smell can ease pain. If I was going to recommend something it would be an essential oil like Rose or Patchouli put some on your pillow at night or have someone give you a massage with it. but please before using it put some on your inter wrist to make sure you do not have any reaction to it.

Have you tried a massage therapist. One of those then follow with a chiropractor appt (same day if you can) if it feels like a muscle type pain. If its more your insides you need to research some natural remedies, herbs etc. Either way start drinking good water like it was going out of style.. serious water is beyond wonderful. If you don’t like the taste squeeze some lemon in it. Do you drink diet soda with aspartame? analize your diet, and lifestyle to find the problem. Any rash or heat sensations? Does it ease up when using menthalatum (can’t spell!)
How about an epsom salt bath?
