I have had surgery on right heel, now in physical therapy. My left knee needs surgery that will be 4-6 months heeling process. A Lot of pain. I am willing to travel for a pain specialist and I have the best doctor willing to give me a referral .Please, if someone knows of what I can do, let me know. Thanks…And there is more of the story, but I know everyone has one…

I have been using one for my feet pain for three wks now… when I zap a few times the pain is gone. But me I still need to walk and stand at work so the pain comes back… But with each time I zap the pain is less severe. (I’ve had progressive pain in my feet for 2 years now. I’ve tried everything else.)
And the pain is almost GONE in my right foot. Working on my left foot now…I zap all my pains now!!

you can take meds.
nsaid- steroids like asprin, naproxen, celebrex, etc. but they may not be great for you after your surgery
muscle relaxants- help with pain, but probably not ideal since you arent having muscle spasms.
pain meds- ultram (‘non’ narcotic-though this is debatable), vicodin, etc. probably the best option for short term pain relief to get through pt and tide you over until your next surgery. could be tough to get a script though. they will probably give you ultram, but i really am not a huge fan of this medicine (i took if after back surgery and it was the worst med to stop taking. this is physical dependence NOT addiction which you will discover if a doctor breaks down what your options are and they include opiates.)
i dont know what state you are in so i cant recommend a doc to you. ask your internist for a recommendation/referral.

your doc can give you prescription strength pain releiver. don’t overlook the comfort of a heating pad. deep breathing techniques work as well at the dentist as they do during child birth, so learn to focus your thoughts and relax, relax, relax.
Here is a good article:
