You may need to wrap it or get a brace for it so that it has extra support so that you won’t do any more damage. If you stop using that leg you will lose the use of it. So take the advice of those who are trying to help you. They don’t want to see you end up completely paralyzed on that side.
I would also go to the orthopedist anyhow. After all he’s the doc, not the rehab center or the physical therapist. You may require surgery or something. Who diagnosed it as a torn ligament anyhow?

i would get the doctors advice. you dont want to stop using it at all but you dont want to cause ant further injuries. you really do need to see a orthopedist. they can give you a brace and stuff and all.

Do what the professional tell you. Keep using it and prop them up above heart level when you can–it promotes circulation.
