I injured my shoulder 2.5 years ago on my job. I have had 2 surgeries on it since. —-Suprascapular Neoropathy and Sub acromial decompression.— I have no insurance and have paid cash for this. I have had over 3 months of physical therapy. I cannot raise my arm all the way. The only way I am able to use it is with pain medicine(Loratab 10). It really helps me get through the day. I am still seeing an orthapedic doctor.
I just had 2 mri’s of neck and back to see if it is coming from there(they turned up normal). I have seen a doctor for my chronic pain and he referred me to a pain specialist who gives nerve blocks and It’s going to cost around $5000 every 6 months –I cannot afford that. So if my orthepedic doctor gives up on me or refers me to a pain specialist I am out of luck.
I cannot live with this pain… I need a doctor to prescribe me pain medicine I need it! Not for drugs for pain. I live in Dalton Georgia-near Chattanooga. Please help me find one who will help me. Thanks!

Most pain clinics often have a sliding scale for payments depending on your income. Also most universities that have medical schools have them Here are two sites that will help you.http://pain.com
look about half way down the page on the right and there is a pain clinic locator for each state.
Here is webmd’shttp://doctor.webmd.com/physician_finder…
I’ve been going to a pain management clinic for years and I know I’ve never had to pay $5,000, and I’ve never had an orthopedic surgeon that wouldn’t give me Rx’s for pain meds.
If you have been to the orthopedic doc you should know what I mean by a pain journal. Instead of typing here you should be doing the journal.
But I don’t think I’d be searching for a doctor and let them know you are seeking hydrocodone,,, you won’t have very good luck. That would be highly suspect that you were “doctor shopping”.
When you type things like ” I need them !!!”,, it sure sounds bad. That is what every drug abuser I have ever known has said. And I’m an ex-heroin addict so I’ve been around a lot of them.
Here are a few other sites you should check out. If you are looking for pain relief they will help,,, if you are looking for meds,,no.http://www.webmd.com/back-pain/guide/pai…http://health.discovery.com/centers/pain…http://spine-health.com
I’m a pain management patient due to a cervical spine injury. Which by the way,,, hurt my shoulder more than anything,, so please make sure they don’t give up on your neck. I also had a few MRI’s and it wasn’t until I had a nerve conductivity test did they go back and find the problem. I’ve had 2 fusion operations for it and I still take hydrocodone, oxycodone, and a few other medications. I’ve never had any problems getting pain medications or been made to pay a pain specialist for them.
EDIT: Yeah maybe a methadone clinic would work for you,,, the only requirement there is that you test ‘dirty’ for opiates. They don’t care why you want methadone. And yeah,, I’ve been through that one too!! It’s worse than being a heroin addict in my opinion.
