I’d bet there will will be a huge need for assitants because of this tranisition to Ph.D. It is a lot of work and many people may decide to go to medical school instead. It will also make PTs more expensive, so they will hire more assitants so they don’t need as many PTs.
It really depends on what you want from a job. Check out these pages for infomation on physical therapists. You really should look at them. They have information on training and lots of other good stuff.
