First off, before anyone comments, my midwife is completely aware of what is going on…she doesn’t have any other ideas on how to help me. This pain is worse than ANY gallbladder attack that I have had.
I have tried Chiropractor, massage therapy, the maternity belt, acupuncture, (in my other pregnancies I DID try physical therapy). I also have tried little bit of moist heat. The only thing that has seemed to help a little was the acupuncture. Everything else hasn’t done squat and the massage therapy even made it to where I could barely walk when I was through.
I am carrying her low, VERY low, and she is very active. Tylenol doesn’t cut it and I don’t want to take narcotics for this constant pain.
Is there anything else that I can do that someone else may have done to help?

My daughter was low like that, too. Every time she moved I would get this shooting pain, it was awful! I am so sorry. The best thing to do it stay off your feet as much as possible. That’s really all you can do.

Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do except maybe a long soak in a warm bath. I had severe pain as well for the last 8 weeks and I could hardly walk or anything. The dr refused to induce me and when my little guy was finally born he was almost 9 lbs! The warm bath is about all that helped me but it was only temporary relief. Good luck to you – not too much longer to go!!!

this may sound silly and I don’t know if you’ve tried it…
try leg stretches. thats all that helped me. take it easy, sleep with pillow between legs, maybe having more sex will help. I know it helps me with some hip pains.

i’d get my doctor to write me out of work and spend my day being waited on by my husband. lol. sorry thats the best i got. maybe you’ll deliver early and it will be over sooner than you think. women must forget how much it hurts cuz they usually do it atleast twice.

If the pain is that bad, I would see a doctor and make sure that it isn’t something serious. I agree about not taking meds until you know what is going on.

seems like your just about exhausted all your resources. you could try some streches or perhaps a very warm bath when things get too painful ?

I had this also. It started at 28 weeks for me. Unfortunately i couldn’t find anything that helped. My last two days of work I sat in my bosses office and cried because I couldn’t walk.
i would say lots of baths. It just helps relax your muscles, and doesn’t hurt while you are in there. But just make sure you have some one to help you out so you don’t get stuck. MY husband actually banned me from taking a bath when he wasn’t home.
And just try not to be walking too much. As I am sure you know that makes it worse. So if you are at work then ask your boss if you can do a job that you can sit down and do. IF you have too get a doctors note.
Good luck and I hope that this goes quickly for you.

I WOULD CALL YOUR DOCTOR. ASK HIM TO CHECK YOU OUT AND MAKE SURE YOU AREN’T IN PRE-TERM LABOR. THEY HAVE TESTS NOW THAT MAKE IT EVEN EASIER FOR YOU TO KNOW IF YOU WILL DELIVER EARLY.
ANY PAIN NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED TO HIM. I WENT INTO PRE-TERM LABOR AT 6 MONTHS PREGNANT. I KEEP FEELING PINCHES THAT HURT FOR ONLY A SECOND. I TOLD THE DOCTOR AND I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 3 WEEKS FOR THEM TO STOP THE CONTRACTIONS AND KEEP ME FROM HAVING HER. I WAS THEN PUT ON BED REST UNTIL THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS. THE DAY THEY TOOK ME OFF BEDREST WAS THE DAY I DELIVERED. BE CAREFUL AND DON’T DELAY ON CALLING THE DOCTOR
