Sharp knee pain in right knee?
About 5 yrs ago I had a lateral relese on my right knee. I was having sharp pain down my knee everytime i bend over to do something, evertime i would kneel on the floor. This time it has gotten worse.. I can bend over and its yet again a sharp pain, kneeling is the same way.. But whats diffrent about this one is i can just be sitting having a convo with my husband its there it comes out of know were a sharp pain.. It has come to the point were i can’t even take my 14 month old and walk around the house with her it feels like its going to give in.. Even to carry a dinner plate to my husband kills… I have been going to physical therapy for it. had x-rays done but my dr. nor the physical therapist can tell me what is going on with it.. I do have an appointment with a specialist on the 18th!! and can’t wait for it to come.. In the mean time any help about what you think is going on would be great!! its swollen, cracks and pops everytime i walk, even to drive it hurts, i have to have someone else drive my car, i feel alot of the pain on the innerside of my right knee. thats were the sharp pain comes from and it traves down my leg.. any ideas??

If the cartilage wears unevenly, the leg can bow in or bow out. If you were born with crooked legs, there can be strain that causes the cartilage to wear more rapidly. If there is pain or swelling in the calf below the sore knee, you may have a blood clot. More likely, you have a Baker’s cyst. These cysts start as fluid-filled sacs in an inflamed knee but enlarge through the tissues of the calf and may cause swelling quite a distance below the knee. You should see your doctor for this condition.
If the tear in the meniscus, the knee’s shock-absorbing cartilage, doesn’t heal on its own. To facilitate healing, avoid activities that causes pain in the knee, treat your knee with an anti-inflammatory drug such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin). If that doesn’t ease the discomfort, it’s generally better not to wait for the pain and the tear to get worse before turning to surgery.
Listen to the pain message and try not to do anything that aggravates the pain. If you have arthritis, make sure you are taking your medication as directed. Otherwise, acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen may be used to ease the pain. See your doctor if pain remains after six weeks. I hope this helps you. And good luck.

well you may have a torn meniscus if you having pain every time you knee on the floor so what i would do is when you go to see your specialist tell them what kind of pain you are having and maybe they can also do an MRI to see if any thing else might be torn or if there might be broken bones swimming around in there.And so I hope that this was helpful.And I am sorry that you are having knee pain i my self have knee problems but mine are quite a lot worse i tore 3 of the four ligaments in my right knee
