I have had bad shoulder pain for about 2 years, maybe a little less than that. But my first though was a dislocated shoulder, but I think its just something wrong with the rotator cuff. Also, when i pull my arms back I can feel that my good shoulder blade goes back much farther than the other. Anyway, its WAYY more annoying than painful, but it DOES hurt sometimes. I am always moving it around in a strange way because it is SOO annoying, and people give me weird looks. I went to physical therapy for a while and saw no big improvements at all, so I stopped because it was obviously just wasting my money. Recently the problem has increased. My guess is that it is from bad posture (which I have had my whole life). I am on the computer alot which probably did most of the damage. I went thru a year of college with this problem and would like to see some results finally. Any help at all would be highly appreciated!

you need to schedule a visit with an orthopedic doctor. they will perform diagnostic tests to identify your problem. if you have a tear in your rotator cuff, it will most likely need surgical repair. it is not a particularly difficult surgery to recover from, mostly just more annoying than anything from not being able to move your arm around, however, you are not able to move it around now, so better to get a professional opinion and git ‘er done.
