You need to consult a lawyer. Strangers on Yahoo! Answers have no way of analyzing the situation. Even if a lawyer finds your question they are finding no pertinent information on which to base their answer.

You don’t sound like you had a Work. Comp. attorney at the beginning.
Get one now (you can probably find one or two who will give you a free consultation). As far as blaming the car accident for your injury, only a look at the x-rays from the original injury (when last taken) and one from the car accident can show if there was any significant change.
Again, seek the advise of an attorney. An FYI, type of injury does not necessarily determine the amount of the settlement.

This will be a long long fight my frend. You will need to be dependant on workmens-comp. And you will need a lawyar and always 2 or more doctors opinions and the reports and x-rays to provide the best proof of your injury.
After this long fight of collecting workmen’s comp you will be asked number of times to settle. Never settle till they give you the number and zeros you want on that big fat check.
It took my mother 18 years to get hers when she desotried her back at work and became leagelly handicaped.
