My doctor told me that it was my achillies tendon after I had fallen down several steps. It was quite painful. Maybe doing research on the internet about home remedies, using things that you already have in the house or can get from a store. Seeing a doctor isn't always necessary, sometimes natural medicine has the same effect and costs next to nothing compared to the ridiculous medication costs. I hope your foot gets better. No need to be sorry and you're not whining. We don't all have high pain thresholds. Good luck with the job hunting, seems we're in the same boat, let's hope it stays afloat. Been there .... Done that!! I can tell you this much.. your local County Health Dept. can be of great use to ya.and its usually free. They have a licensed nurse there, and he/she, can offer help, or advice. You could be having a plantar wart....they are very painful.... Dr. Scholls has a remover for those, which is not expensive.... When I worked in the restaurants as a waitress, I used to get those...and let me tell ya,,,, they are painful. Then I went on to college, and got my degree as a hairdresser, which I worked for over 27 years behind that ol' chair, makin folks look their best. Well now I do have Plantar fasciitis... and arthritis in one hip.... I'm retired now, but its all very painful. Call you local Health Dept. and see what they will tell ya. Good Luck. Well WOW !! I have been pain free ever since. I feel great. Try it. You won't regret it. I haven't. Besides what do you have to loose, not money.
