I am going to physical therapy, and I hope one day I can do exercise on a more regualr and consistent basis. I have chronic pain, and this last car accident only made the already chronic pain worse and more frequent. I am having a hard time getting back into exercise and had to switch therapists.
It’s not like I don’t try on my good days, but those rare days, I am usually trying to catch up with the household chores that I got behind in.
Sometimes I feel like I am not really living with this kind of pain, and that my husband does not understand. I saw a woman on t.v. and thought she was pretty and wanted to have pretty jeans and a form fitting shirt like her. He said her hips were too big, but I thought she looked nice. Then it got to be my hips are too big too. And there are other times he talks about me too. I know I could lose some weight, but how can I without starving myself, or is that what I should do? And how do I shrink my hip bones down so that I will be good enough?

Two weeks ago, I tore my ACL and MCL. I will have surgery in three weeks for the ACL, but the doctor wants to let the MCL heal first. I have been doing physical therapy for a week now and gradually, my leg has started to ache. Now the pain is excruciating. I’m fine if I am laying down, but if I stand upright, no weight on my leg, or even sit upright with my leg more vertical, it hurts a lot. I’m taking Panlor SS, and that helps a little, but the pain is not completely gone.
What’s funny is that my leg didn’t hurt like this even immediately after the injury. Why is it hurting so much now? Is it the therapy? Or is it my leg trying to heal? Is it something with my veins? What should I do about it?
So, I strained my neck about two months ago, and the pain is still constant. I went to two doctors, the first wanted to just put me on meds to mask the pain (which I refused), and the other was more informative and prescribed physical therapy. I’ve been to p.t. before because of a hip injury and sort of know what to expect. I was just wondering- what kinds of exercises/stretches can you do for your neck? I know push-ups help build up the shoulders and help relieve some of the tension of the neck muscles, but what others are there? Thanks for answering!
Two weeks ago, in jiu jitsu, I tore my ACL and MCL. I stayed completely off of it for a full week, applying ice, keeping it in a brace, and taking anti inflammatory meds so that the swelling could go down, which it finally has. On Monday, I started physical therapy, and since then, my leg has ached badly. I don’t know if it’s from the therapy or from my MCL trying to heal or both, but my leg aches a lot up and down the back side of my leg. The pain is especially bad when I’m upright on crutches or sitting upright in a chair. It’s only relieved when I sit down and rest my leg; even then, I’m still uncomfortable.
What can I do to help the aching pain? Is this normal?
Pain After Physical Therapy?

I hurt my knee playing soccer in april and my doctor said it may be a torn meniscus and MCL so I had an MRI done about 2 months ago and it showed nothing. So i started physical therapy about a month and a half ago, i have 8 appointments left. It has been sore after i get done but only for a few hours then it goes away, so yesterday we started the “agility” part and when i got done, my knee hurt so bad i could hardly walk, i woke up today and the same thing it hurts really bad, i took my pain meds. and it doesn’t help, is physical therapy supposed to do this? Could there still be something wrong?
Can physical therapy re tear or strain the ligament again? Because the pain is darn near as bad as it was pre operation.

I had a terrible pain in my lower left back and got it checked out by a doctor. He said it’s a strained tissue or torn tissue and suggested physical therapy. What will I have to do there? I am 16, so there are no restrictions.
because physical therapy is not helping me i have had scoliosis over a year
Chirpractor or PT ???
I am 17 weeks pregnant and I have been having severe hip pain. I am now going to PT. What do they do? All exercises? Any special considerations bc i’m prego?
