I had a shoulder injury a week ago during a rock climbing sessions. My shoulder had been getting weaker for the past 2 months probably due to posture issues, and then one night while climbing I heard some ugly grinding/crunching noises while reaching for a hold. The next day sure enough my shoulder hurt enough that I had hardly any range of motion. Although a week has passed and i’ve regained some mobility, I don’t know what I can do to make it better.
When I stretch it in certain directions it obviously hurts, but is this something I’m supposed to power through to stretch it out? or am i not supposed to push it if it doesn’t feel comfortable? I was told by a doctor that it was an impingement and that I should get PT, but its not covered by my insurance.
Are there any useful exercises someone could recommend that I do at home on my own?
Thanks
