Have a Masters in Business and considering medical career, which path makes sense? PT, PTA?

I will be soon graduating with MBA, and I would like to pursue a career in the medical industry.
My undergrad is in Media Arts/Marketing and Design.
Since I will be having a Masters degree already, would I have to go through a second masters if I consider the PT?
Is there any chance to shorten the study time?
I would have to work during the day and if the schedule would not work, I would also consider PTA, which confuses me with the associate degree.
Obviously I wouldn’t need a AA degree since I will have a masters, is there a way just to learn the profession as a certificate?
Another question also, there are LVN programs, which take a year, would I be able to work as PTA with a LVN?
Sorry for so many questions, but I really need your advice.
P.S. I have worked in wellness industry, I have knowledge about anatomy since I’m also certified massage therapist and personal trainer. I see my future perhaps in helping managing a medical facility and helping people.
Thanks a lot!

Skating hard once again.

Recently, I tore my acl skateboarding and while getting the acl reconstruction my doctor noticed a tear in my meniscus. He then shaved it as smooth as possible.
I am now one week post op but just now learning of the meniscal damage.
He says i will have a bit of “give” in my leg from now on because of the shaving. My question to you is will i be able to skate hard again? (with an acl brace on) I have not once found a concrete answer to my question. What kind of limitations should i expect? Will i be able to skateboard down stairs again? I realize physical therapy is the best way to achieve my goal of skating again, I would just like to know prior about my meniscal tear, and if i can still skate hard if i take care of it.

thank you.

foot/leg pain

I broke my 4th and 5th metatarsal bones in my right foot almost 4 years ago. I was in a cast for 6 weeks. After cast was removed I was still having a lot of pain so doc sent me to have a MRI done. It showed that there was nerve damage. I have tried pain medicine everything and my pain is worse now than when I first broke it. It starts out in my foot and as time passes it will travel up my leg into my knee and then get up into my thigh. It is a sharp pain like someone is stabbing my all the way into my bone. What could be wrong with my foot ?

ANKLE LIGAMENT TORN

I HURT MY ANKLE AUGUST 2010, FELL OVER, HUGE SWELLING IMMEDIATELY (SIZE OF TENNIS BALL SWELLING ON OUTSIDE ANKLE JOINT), LOUD “POPPING” SOUND. XRAYS SHOW ANTERIOR TALOFIBULAR LIGAMENT TORN. HAD PHYSIO FOR 9 WEEKS, THEN SAW DR, WHO SAID STOP PHYSIO. ANKLE STILL EXTREMELY SORE, SWELLS, IF I WALK ONE DAY, CAN HARDLY WEIGHT BEAR NEXT DAY. WEARING ANKLE SUPPORT, HOWEVER STILL SO PAINFULL

Massage Therapy vs. manual therapist

I just recently graduated PT school and was thinking about going to massage therapy school. In PT school we devoted half a semester to massage and I don’t feel very comfortable with it. Additionally while on affiliation I would see my CIs massaging patients and when I would ask them what they were doing they would say “what their hands feel.” I wasn’t satisfied with their answer as I think physical therapists should be performing “skilled” treatment. I therefore think it is important to study massage but I am unsure of the pros and cons of going to massage school vs becoming a manual therapist. In my mind a manual therapist only helps people with joint/soft tissue issues while a massage therapist can help people both with and without joint/soft tissue problems. Please offer your thoughts.

I have a bachelors degree in criminal justice. I’ve always been interested in the health care field. I want to know what would I have to do to became a registered physical therapists. I emphasis I am not interested in physical therapy assistant. I want the registered physical therapist track.

Thank you.

ligament damage

Hi, i am 22, i injured my ligament in a soccer game when a player ran into my knee, causing me to sprain my ligament. I have waited 2 months before i started training again. When running now i do not feel any pain except that my knee feels heavy at times. Is that normal as i only started light training 3 days ago? Is it advisable to continue slow jogging and day by day increase the pace and distance?

Career Direction

Trying to make a decision of education direction. If I finish the necessary schooling to become a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, how hard is it to become a Physical Therapist afterwards? Can PTA be a stepping stone?
