i have given up years ago with no relief from drs. i have had 4 MRIS diagnosed with degenerative disk disease.a year at chiropractors(i dont believe in them!!)physical therapy only good while u go,EMPI electric shock machine,lortab,xodol,flexerill,mobic,met… works and im now in my 30s been in pain since a teen with no injuries,accident,drugs,alcohol. my therapist is shocked about my muscle in my back so hard like a rock he said.i have seen 4 bone n joint specialists so i have done my part in begging for help.life sucks and u hate everyone around u when your in constant pain.am i alone here? thanks for reading about me.

Last month in April, I came to visit my Aunt and Uncle and friends in the UK post fun chemo, stuff. Currently I am working on some rehab bits standard physical and mental exercises. During the visit my Aunt asked me to stay on and help look after her son/my cousin while she’s working during the week. Her Au Pare left and my Uncle is rather unreliable. I have only been here in the UK a couple weeks. I am also working on an internet based Uni BA now that chemo is done.
I would have a hard time moving back home to family in the states because my mom is supporting my sister’s family. Due to her husband’s business crashing. The recession hit my other family hard also.
I have found conflicting info on the Home Office website. If there are any actual people I can talk with about this that would be awesome.
Any help would be appreciated! 
Ok, so back at the start of April I sprained my ankle during track practice (I lost my footing after landing a hurdle and my ankle rolled over itself…in case that helps) so I was put on crutches and had my ankle wrapped in an Ace Bandage.
Well the first night I slept with my sprain, I had my knee lying straight (not bent in any way) and the next day I was in massive pain so bad that I couldn’t bend it if I wanted to.
I went to the trainer’s for physical therapy every day so she told me some tips on sleeping better, and it didn’t hurt after that.
So about 3 weeks later I was walking on my ankle (which is good, it healed properly!) and soon after I started the recovery towards running again.
Things were going great until my knee “popped” (I guess, for lack of a better term) and I was on the ground in pain. The trainer diagnosed it later as too much stress on my IT Band from the crutches and such, and so she had me relaxing it with heat and stretching before I ran.
When school got out things were going good, no more knee pain, but just yesterday it popped again while I was running around with some friends, and I wanted to cry from so much pain.
I apologize for the long background story, but i’m wondering if anybody on here could possibly tell me why this is reoccurring (like…did sleeping weird on it the first night screw it up)? Or what I could do to get rid of it? Like….should I see a doctor and get x-rays or anything?

My aunt and my uncle have both had problems with using drugs for quite a few years now. My uncle dosen’t think that he has a problem whereas my aunt knows that she does. She ran away from him after years of mental, emotional, and brutaly physical abuse to rehab. She won’t tell anyone where this facility was or what she did there. All she would say is that they helped her and that she admitted herself under a false name. Is that even possible? She is staying with my mother (her sister) now that she is out and she is having to hide from her husband because he is pissed off that she ran away. She wants a divorce from him but is doubtful that she will get it. The whole family needs advice about how we can help her and things to avoid or steer her clear of. Any advice will be appreciated. We truly do want her to succeed with her sobriety.
i want to transfer to a school with a physical therapy major in the new england area.. do you know of any that either have that or a major that is it under? im incredibly frustrated! please help!

Hi,as I sit here crying I’m begging someone who knows how to deal with chronic lower back pain,to please give me some ideas.I’ve had this for 13 years and it’s every single day.I wake up every morning praying not to feel it,that is if I’m lucky enough to drift off to sleep even for a short while.I like to be on the go and this stops me dead in my tracks.A pain that I’m tired of.A burning constant pain, pain.I have degenerative disk disease and bulging disks on L4 and L5.I’m 32 and Monday is my birthday.This all stems from a epidural during my second child’s birth performed by a practicing Dr.(about 13 years ago,Nyack Hospital Rockland County N.Y.)One of the biggest law suites I missed out on.(major family problems at the time) I’m on powerful pain medicine but it doesn’t seem to take much of the pain away.And if I miss a dose I get irritable,tired,hot/cold flashes and a freezing nose.
I’ve tried everything. I feel like I’m at my wits end.Like I’m going to crack.People don’t understand emotionally how hard it is to be in pain every minute of everyday.I’ve had electric stimulation,massage therapy, adjustments,ice/heat physical therapy, a machine that was heavy as hell that vibrated and shocked my back all at once.Stretching, exercise.Next Thursday I’m suppose to go for spine decompression.DRX6000? Some new machine that’s suppose to help.
Anyways anyone with any advice whats so ever I would greatly appreciate.Sorry to have broken down yet I can not be alone in this unforgiving situation.Take care to you all.
Did anyone have prolotherapy or cortisone shot treatments for a torn rotor cuff, if so can you tell me how it worked out (good or bad). I really don’t want any surgery and standard physical therapy only made it worse. I’ve have had it for years, but now the pain is so bad and constant that I need to do something.
About 4 months ago, I was moving into a new place and when I was backing up, my elbow slammed right into the door. I went to the DR and he did a x-ray and said there was no fracture or anything but it thinks I might have bruised the bone and it should feel better in 2 months, well its been 4 months and its not better and its still painful. He told me to take Tylenol. I do have appointment on Friday to see a orthopedic and I know he/she is going to send me to physical therapy and I really don’t have no patient with people who work at these physical therapy places. They really don’t show any compassion except for their paycheck on Fridays and I was wondering if anyone ever had their elbows bang to the point where the pain is unbelievable and what kind of home therapy did you do for yourself? Thank you!!
