I just finished my first year of college with a major of Athletic Training. I have always wanted to be a physical therapist but I did not know what major to choose because it is only offered as a masters. Is Athletic Training a good major to choose and will it be easy for me to get my pre-requisites for the PT school?
Are there different types of therapists? By that I mean like people that study specifically for adults, kids, handicapped, etc.

University of Santo Tomas. BS degree has accreditation level of 2 valid until 2008. It is accredited by FCCPT (credentialing commission). On the other hand, our masteral degree is not accredited and began only 2002. UST is the only university in the Philippines with an MSPT. UP has none. I’ve read other sources that 2002 and below graduated do not need a masteral degree but 2002 and above graduates need a masteral degree. I also read that a minimum entry level of at least masters level for foreign physical therapist desiring to work abroad. If this is the case, then technically no Filipino can work in the US as a PT if they are 2002 and above graduates. I believe that there might be a way or alternative to help Filipinos in working there since PT abroad is in demand.
