If nothing else, it seems to me that the Democrats, instead of looking for ways to cut funding for the troops, would be looking for ways to direct more of those billions towards VA-facilities woes; there are tens of thousands of US troops who need continuous care, (both mental & physical),as well as more hospitals. For God’s sake, some of our troops are having tremendous difficulties returning home after being in that hellhole called Iraq. “Suck it up” you say? Well it might be a little different than when wars meant the use of more conventional weapons. These troops are seeing people cut in half, body parts strewn throughout markets’, or being sucked though buildings or grotesquely burned, not to mention their returning to Walter Reed for ‘rehab’ because of the loss of arms, legs, feet, or having had part of their heads blown off. Not to mention the number of suicides relative to this war. Not to mention troops being asked to pay for ‘uniforms’ or boots that may have blood on them.

What Careers In Health Care Pay Better Than A Physical Therapist With The Same Amount Of School?
Feb 7
I am currently going to school for my bachelors in health science and then plan on attending a physical therapy program, but am kind of bummed that the pay is only 60-70,00 for the 7 years of schooling it takes. Is there any other 3 year post bachelor programs or careers in health care that pay better?
Hey guys i just wanted to know which college will be best to obtain a doctorates degree in Physical Therapy: Buffalo University , Stony Brook or Albany. Out of the three im kind of leaning towards Buffalo, so i just wanted to know what your opinions are. Thanks!
I want to become a physical therapist and am wondering which bachelors degree would give me the most benefit to becoming a PT as far as having already done pre-requsites a PT program might have.
I have had shoulder pain for about a year (rotator cuff, impingement). I’ve been going to physical therapy for about a month, and it helped quite a bit with the pain, but not the movement. I did some work outside two days ago, ended up moving my arm too much and had a lot of acute pain. Yesterday I went to physical therapy, and I suddenly have almost all of my range of motion back, and very little pain. I’m not complaining! Did I stretch something out? Did I tear something the rest of the way? Will this improvement last?
I was in an auto accident three months ago. I still have back and neck pain. I was originally sent to physical therapy which didn’t help. My doc. then sent me to a chiropractor who has helped a little, but just can’t seem to fix it. He took X-rays and found I have spondylosis (I guess I already had it but didn’t know. It was just aggravated by the accident) and scoliosis (which I knew I had). Both of these things are complicating my healing from the accident. The chiro doc is really trying hard, but says I’m a challenge. If he can’t fix it, and the physical therapist couldn’t, what can be done? I’m only 40, and was healthy and active before. Does anyone know how long this could take before it’s 100% better? Will the other insurance company (the person who hit me) cover future medical expenses if I can’t fix it and will need chiro or ortho care in the future? I’m afraid to sign anything until I’m all the way better, but don’t want this to drag on forever either. Any advice is really helpful, because I really don’t know what to do. Thanks!
I’ve searched many sites and they all say that to get into Sports Medicine I have to go into either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine first. I was hoping Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation would be a better way of getting into that specialty but I don’t know if I can if I take Rehab.
