i broke my finger and i want to know if you go to physical therapy to help it. when you answer this could u please tell me how you know that is the answer, and like your sources like if you are a doctor or where you got the info.

i broke my thumb 4 weeks ago at the top of the second bone, i got my cast off yesterday and the doctor said the part of the bone that was fractured shifted down. it still hurts like it did when i first broke it, i have a physical therapy appointment for tommorrow, what will they do? is a bone shift bad? later affects?
Just looking for some real-life experience! Broke both my radius and ulna…have two plates and screws holding each of the bones together. Anyone out there have experience with similar situation? How long in a hard cast? Physical therapy? And does the pain EVER get better???
my gf broke her back a few years ago but still suffers from pain. her lower back was broken and doctors still cant seem to help her pain. is there anything she can take or do to help… i have been giving her magnesium calcium and zing pills which help the bones and muscles around the area and she is on medications to help swelling but its all not helping enough. she also goes to physical therapy

I have just recovered from a fractured toe, or a very bad case of “turf toe.”
As I type this, it hurts right now, I got out of “wrapping” last thursday, which is the 19th of June.
I play baseball and have tried to run, but it hurts when I try to run around. The pain is mostly on the balls of my feet. Is there any way I may treat it to stretch out the tendons, get the balls of my feet to stop hurting, or get back into running regularly? Please, I need experience or medical help before my next game.

I can’t afford to go to Physical Therapy. I broke my tibia and fibula in my calf and now have a rod and screws in my leg. I have a walker. The doc said the bone is stabilized by the rod and I can put weight on it as I can stand the pain. It is extremely painful and when I put weight on it, it feels like the bones pop or move, and like the rod is poking into my knee cap. It is very stiff as well. I had the surgery a week ago. I am also in very poor health and very overweight. I am 44. I am anxious to get mobile again as soon as possible. Right now I can hobble slowly to the bathroom with the walker and that’s about it.

Had a clean break with little displacement so surgery was required. I spent 6 weeks in fiber glass and 2 weeks air cast – both with crutches. Right now I m on my 9th week waking with an aircast. How long do you think till I can return to moderately intense physical activity? Running, or skating (hockey)?
My 12yr old daughter dislocated her elbow and fractured her wrist and elbow. She just had her cast removed on Monday but is in lots of pain, even to the touch, on her elbow. The Otho. said she needs to have physical therapy but i don’t think she could handled the pain. She is usually never a baby about pain so i’m really concerned. I don’t want to overreact if this is normal.
depends when u broke it. i’m assuming u had a cast on for the last 6 weeks. so now i would work on stretching your calf and achillies, also do some light stregth exercises like picking up marbles w/ your toes and putting them in a can or writing the alphabet w/ your toes by using your ankle. stretch it dorsi and plantarflexion wise as well as inversion and eversion. it should hurt a lil when stretching other wise your not doing any good, ice the ankle after exercises and make sure when your walking on it that your walking heal to toe and not w/ your foot out to the side
