What Could Be The Cause Of This Pain?

I have localized pain in my leg that has been on-going for 3 years. The pain is localized to the inside of my thigh, about midway between the hip and the knee. Pain is usually pronounced after exercise, and when pressure is applied, it is excruciating.
I went to an orthopaedist and to a neurologist for help. I’ve had MRIs, X-rays, CAT Scans and some kind of nerve test. Everything was normal and there was no ability to determine the cause.
My orthopaedist started me on physical therapy, and I saw that the strength in my affected quad was significantly less than in my unaffected quad.
I stopped exercising last year thinking that maybe the pain was a sign of overexertion. Even with losing muscle mass, the pain is still present without change.
I think I know the term for this condition, but I don’t want to self-diagnose. What do you think it is?

Good Prescription Pain Pills That Wouldn’t Cause Me To Fail Dot Drug Tests.?

I’m a professional truck drive. I just had lumbar back surgery this June for a few weeks I felt great, but now the pain in legs, feet and butt is back. I tried the non narcotic- Gabentin and it worked great. And I didn’t get drowsy or high. But by DOT stds anything that says could make you drowsy is a no no. By that criteria my blood pressure pills would be contraband. Or most otc allergy meds. They don’t make me sleepy tho labels says they could. They keep me alive.
I heard that some times you can get a exemption if a doctor says the med is needed and won’t make you sleepy. Is their anyone out there who has experience with painkillers and the DOT.?
The pain isn’t as bad as before the surgery yet… and I’m working out like a maniac at physical therapy…but Sometimes its so intense I wish I’d die. I’m certainly not attentive due the lightheadedness the pain brings. I have to return to work soon and need relief but don’t want to lose my job by failing a drug test. Any ideas? Good drugs that won’t make me fail DOT drug test that work. Tried accupuncture, chiro, didn’t work.

Constant Knee Pain…what Could Cause It?

I am 20 years old and I have been having pain on the medial (inside) part of my knee for the past year…it went away for a while and now its back, worse than ever. I did not have any specifiic injury however I wear high heels for my job and I am on my feet almost all day and I used to do dance. I am guessing it is from one or both of those two. I have been to 2 different doctors and had x-rays as well as 2 MRIs done. They still dont really know what is wrong. They keep saying it “might be” pes anserinus bursitis/tendinitis or plica syndrome. They said there was some fluid in the bursa based on the MRI, but there is always a small amount of fluid in a bursa isnt there? Anyway, I have had a cortizone shot in the bursa and it did nothing…typically that cures bursitis, or atleast relieves it. I dont really think it is bursitis since the pain is constant and it is like a very sore ache…also, the pain is not really in the right spot to be an inflammed bursa. Where I am experiencing pain is right below the medial(inside) joint line of the knee…the knee is slightly swollen in that area, also. I have tried physical therapy and stretching and it has been to no evail. They also said it could be plica syndrome, however, I do not have any problems going up and down stairs and my knee does not click…2 classic signs of plica. I have no idea what is wrong with my knee and the doctors dont seem to either. please offer any help you can. I am going insane here.

What Could Cause Pain In The Upper Left Part Of My Back? ?

Hello,
I have been struggling with pain in the upper back on the left below the shoulder blade for 2 years now. The sharp stabbing pain comes on after about 15 minutes walking or standing. It gets better and goes away when I sit or lay down. I’ve been to numerous doctors (chiro, rehab, osteopath, orthopedic surgeon, acupuncture) and found no relief. The MRI shows a bulging disc at T10/T11 and some degeneration in lower discs. However, no one is exactly convinced that my pain is caused by the disc.
I’ve tried hours of physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, muscle relaxers, neurontin, heat packs, and epidurals, to no relief.
I’m not sure what other kind of doctor I should try. I am 27 and in good health.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks!

Could Osteoarthritis Be The Cause Of My Knee Pain?

Hi everyone, I am not sure what is causing my knee pain but my symptoms are similar to arthritis. I have been very physically active my whole life, but I am only 20 years old…isn’t that too young to develop osteo arthritis? I am wondering if it is a possible explaination for the pain I have been having in my left knee (my right knee gives me no issues at all) I am very depressed, as I cannot be active the way I used to be. I have been to an orthropedic doctor and he believes I have bursitis. I did not have an MRI but he said if the pain does not subside in a month or two of physical therapy that he is going to order me an MRI. My question is, would ostero arthritis show up on an MRI?

Does Whiplash Cause Back Pain?

I was in a car accident and was rear-ended by a car that was going about 30 mph. I took Motrin for 2 weeks straight afterward, because my neck and shoulders hurt a lot, and my back did a little too. Then I went to the doctor (while on Motrin) 2 weeks after the accident, and he said I was fine, and I felt relatively fine so I stopped taking Motrin. Now (4 weeks after the accident), I have terrible back pain / pain in my shoulder blades. I’m a teenager, so I should have healed relatively fast, but the pain is back. I’ve been taking Motrin for 2 days, and it helps a little. However, the pain mostly occurs after carrying around a 30 lb backpack at school. (But, I had no problems with the same 30 lb backpack that I’ve been carrying for 3 years.) The doctor has said sometimes whiplash disappears and re-appears after months or even years. Is this back pain the whiplash coming back?
Also, insurance is covering physical therapy. I decided not to go, because it felt fine 2 weeks ago, and I figured I don’t need it. Should I go? Will physical therapy actually work? (I’ve never done any physical therapy, ever.)

Can Pressure From A Seat Belt During An Accident Cause Hemorrhoids?

I was in an accident a few weeks ago and the seat belt caused some pain in my abdomen. Could this have caused an external hemorrhoid to form? Maybe the medication made B M harder to do? I also had to go to physical therapy, could that have brought it out?
