Do physical therapist assistants do A LOT of wound drainage or come in contact with infectious material a lot? How many times a week/day/month do they deal with infectious material? Or is it uncommon for physical therapist assistants to come into contact with infectious material?

I’ve been recently having some symptoms of testicular illnesses. In the past, about 9-12 months ago, I has similar problems but with physical therapy and I guess some Ibuprofin, they eventaully went away. Is this type of coming and going possible, not possible or unlikely with testicluar illensses, especially signifigant ones like cancer?
I can’t afford to go to Physical Therapy. I broke my tibia and fibula in my calf and now have a rod and screws in my leg. I have a walker. The doc said the bone is stabilized by the rod and I can put weight on it as I can stand the pain. It is extremely painful and when I put weight on it, it feels like the bones pop or move, and like the rod is poking into my knee cap. It is very stiff as well. I had the surgery a week ago. I am also in very poor health and very overweight. I am 44. I am anxious to get mobile again as soon as possible. Right now I can hobble slowly to the bathroom with the walker and that’s about it.
