Does Anyone Have Info On Torn Rotor Cuff Treatments?

Did anyone have prolotherapy or cortisone shot treatments for a torn rotor cuff, if so can you tell me how it worked out (good or bad). I really don’t want any surgery and standard physical therapy only made it worse. I’ve have had it for years, but now the pain is so bad and constant that I need to do something.

How Bad Is A Rotator Cuff Tear?

I am a pitcher. I hurt my shoulder about a month ago and I went to a shoulder specialist. He said he thought he was just swelling in my shoulder and he put me through physical therapy. Yesterday my physical therapist told me she thinks there might be a tear in it. I can move my arm and some movements hurt and other don’t. Does anyone know how much of a pain level a torn shoulder is on a 1-10 scale and how much movement is limited?

I have seen 2 orthopedic surgeons, a pain management specialist, 2 chiropractors, and a physiologist. I also went through the necessary physical therapy as reccommended by the orthopedic surgeon who performed the surgery.

I Was Diagnosed With A S.l.a.p. Tear In My Rotator Cuff. I Am Faced With 2 Options, Surgery Or Physical Therpy

It is a partial tear. SLAP refers to “superior labrum anterior and posterior”. The doc says that a combination of physical therapy, pain meds and injections( I am assuming cortical) COULD POSSIBLY heal my injury. But doc said in most cases the patient ends up requiring surgery.
