I have a bulging disk and my doctor recommended physical therapy. Well all the PT did was make the pain worse! Now my fiance is swearing by his PT because it helped his scoliosis and he wants me to try PT again. Has anyone had success with PT for a bulging disk?

Doctor said bulging out 4-5 mm which isn’t much, but enough to cause pain and make my foot a little numb. I am on meds to reduce the pain, inflammation and muscle relaxer. Next is orthopedic consultation. I don’t want surgery, what options can work-chiropractor, acupuncture, or deep physical therapy? I can’t live with the pain, it is too much and too limiting to every day activities.

What Method Is Used To Treat A Double Layer Herniated Disk?

I was just diagnosed with a double layer herniated disk in my L4 and L5. I am being given an immediate transfer over to a neurosurgeon and that has me a little nervous.
What are some methods of treatment for this condition? I have already undergone physical therapy with no success on relieving the pain, so at this point I am really not sure as to what is used to correct this issue.
