I am 22 years old and within the last 3 weeks I would say, I have been experiencing constant knee pain. It is worse when I bend it and sit for a while then straighten it out and walking up or down staris makes it worse too. Bad knees run in our family…dad has had 6 knew surgeries and 16 year old brother just had his first 8 months ago. I have done physical therapy for my knee before, when I played basketball, but then I quit basketball and haven’t done therapy in about 8 years. When should I see the doctor about it?

I am in the military and have not had the best luck with the medical section. I am 23 years old & currently deployed. I have been having wrist pain for about 1 1/2 years and then about 6 months ago it started getting worse & worse and started affecting my forearm. I went in and did the physical therapy for awhile and then the Dr wanted to try a steroid shot. The one specifically giving it to me had to get guidance as to where to inject as he had never done it before. He injected the spot instructed but then took it upon himself to go above the elbow bone and poked in very quickly. Causing alot of pain for me, he pulled it out from that spot and reinserted it about 1/4″ higher. Now, the pain is so bad and strong I can barely even pull my pants up! There is significant swelling right where my nerve runs through the inside of the elbow and now the pain is all the way up to my shouler instead of just to the elbow. Is this serious or should I just let it run its course for awhile longer?
I injured my shoulder 2.5 years ago on my job. I have had 2 surgeries on it since. —-Suprascapular Neoropathy and Sub acromial decompression.— I have no insurance and have paid cash for this. I have had over 3 months of physical therapy. I cannot raise my arm all the way. The only way I am able to use it is with pain medicine(Loratab 10). It really helps me get through the day. I am still seeing an orthapedic doctor.
I just had 2 mri’s of neck and back to see if it is coming from there(they turned up normal). I have seen a doctor for my chronic pain and he referred me to a pain specialist who gives nerve blocks and It’s going to cost around $5000 every 6 months –I cannot afford that. So if my orthepedic doctor gives up on me or refers me to a pain specialist I am out of luck.
I cannot live with this pain… I need a doctor to prescribe me pain medicine I need it! Not for drugs for pain. I live in Dalton Georgia-near Chattanooga. Please help me find one who will help me. Thanks!
I have a documented herniated disk which has caused complete havoc on my body. I occasionally suffer pain so intense that my skin aches, my eyes hurt, and I end up vomiting. The pain only gets that bad once or twice a week. I have tried everything from physical therapy to medications. About 2 years ago, a back specialist prescribed me oxycodone to stop the pain from escalating to vomiting. It worked incredibly. The pain was cut off…. my muscles relaxed…. and I would not get sick. I then moved to a different state and the doctors here have been very hesitant to give me narcotics because of the “chance” of addiction. Twenty (10/325) pills would last about 3 months. I hardly see this as “addicted”. But my doctor recently decided to cut off my prescription. I am 25, a senior graduating from a prestigious university, with a 3.9 GPA – hardly the addict type 
How do I find a doctor who will prescribe the medication I need again? HELP! I am in so much pain right now.
I’ll try to keep a long story short. I’ve been having chronic (daily) headaches and pain in my neck, shoulders and back for about six years. After seeing several doctors I finally found one that is taking me seriously but it seems that he is lost. I’ve tried physical therapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, cortisone injections and a slew of meds. Nothing seems to be working. The only injury I’ve had was a very minor car accident about 11 years ago… I was rear-ended at about 10 miles/hour and had minor whiplash.
Has anyone else had these problems? Any suggestions on what I should try or a possible diagnosis I could research? I’m not a fan of taking random meds “just to see if they work” but that is what my doc has me doing.

I have had pain in my right knee for over a year now. It hurts a lot when after I walk or run. Sometimes I won’t do anything and it will start to hurt. I went to physical therapy for a month. I’ve gotten x-rays and an MRI. The doctor I have been seeing has basically given up. Has anyone had something similar to this? Does anyone have any suggestions (are there any other options for me or do I just have to accept that I am in pain daily?) ?
What is the most money that a physician Assistant or a Doctor in Physical therapy can make right out of school
I got an xray for my back and i have minor scoliosis 11 degrees. My parents are constently and I also am reminding my self to sit and stand straight. Sometimes when i do this, my shoulder hurts and my a lil on my back. My knees aren’t aligned when i’m in the sit up position, the tops aren’t even.
I’m 15. I asked the doctor if i should get physical therapy or something, a brace? and she said the brace is for 25 degrees but she said i dont need phyical therapy, she told me that we’ll just contiue to monitor it.
But what if it gets worse!?
Any suggestions for the pain and how to help my scoliosis decrease instead of increasing???

What exactly do pain management doctors do?? I have been seeing a sports medicine doctor for severe leg pain for about two months he even had me on a low dosage of loratab and thats not even working we have tried physical therapy and everything. I have had them for 6 months now and they keep getting worse and i can barely walk anymore let alone take care of my baby daughter. its both legs from hips down! So what is the pain doctor going to do differently to help
