I’ve had tennis elbow for a month now. If it doesn’t get better the doc is suggesting physical therapy. What can I do at home now to help ease the pain and become stronger in that area?

What Exercises Would A Physical Therapist Suggest For Weak Knees?

My 14 year old son was told that he had weak knees/kneecaps during a sports physical. If he holds his leg a certain way, he can actually move his kneecap from side to side. Someone suggested physical therapy, but thought someone would know some at-home exercises that would help.

What Are Some Physical Therapy Exercises For A Sprained Ankle?

ok so yesterday (Wednesday 25) i sprained my ankle in track practice and the sports doctor on campus said it was only mild but to stay off it for a while and not to run in the meet this week. but what i want to know is if it will be ok to go back to running again on Monday and if there are any physical therapy exercises i can do. its still a little swollen and hurts some.

I Have Been Assigned Physical Therapy Exercises For A Knee Injury, Can Someone Help Me Understand Them?

Injury: Left knee, I have a completely torn ACL, partially torn MCL, bone bruise and am told that my bruised lateral meniscus.
Unfortunately, my Dr. got annoyed when I ask detailed questions and his male nurse goes into attack mode in front of other patients, PT can’t get me in for 3 weeks, so here I am.
1. Weight Bearing: When I am told to bear weight on my knee, does this mean my full body weight or the weight of my leg or?
2. Supported Knee Bends: With or without the hinged brace? My knee is so swollen again that the brace inhibits some motion, but I don’t know if I should do this without the protection of the brace?
3. Pain: I already hurt myself the first time I did these exercises and am just trying to understand what’s normal pain and what’s “I’m causing more damage pain.” The pain at my knee cap and MCL are there and I mentally prepared myself for it, but the pain at the lateral meniscus is excruciating. I am told this is only a bruise, but it’s popping and rolling to the left over something. When I did these deep knee bends at 14 days, my knee got so loose that any lateral movement (getting out of bed) caused it to roll and pop to the left and then it comes back – and this is with the hinged brace on tight. The next day the knee calf and foot swelled up to the point the bottom of my foot cracked. I can completely straighen it and as long as it’s locked, I can stop the rolling/popping. What can I do, when doing knee bends to protect my meniscus and stop the rolling/grinding/popping? I have to re-establish range of motion and I think he said I was only at about 30 degrees and he wants me full range, foot to my rear in 6 weeks. I really need help with this one.

I recently wrecked on my dirt bike and over extended my thumb, resulting in Game Keepers or Skiers Thumb. I had to get surgery and now they want me to do physical therapy. I don’t have enough money for physical therapy so i was wondering if anyone had suggestions for exercises for my thumb. Also ir you know of any books on physical therapy for thumbs that would be helpful. Thank you.

Physical Therapy Exercises For A Sprained Ankle?

Sprained my left ankle badly during my fall season for soccer. Landed on it with a kid falling on my leg which made the injury even worse. I have been in physical therapy for the trainer for multiple weeks, still throbs randomly.
What can I do on my own in terms of exercises to better the pain and how often to make the pain be gone for good?

How Often Should I Be Doing Physical Therapy Exercises To Recover From My Shoulder Injury?

I no longer have pain with day to day activities, but I have severe cracking and instability, and bad pain if I do something like push-ups. I was told to do physical therapy exercises to help restructure and strengthen my shoulder.
How often should I be doing these exercises? Is there anything else I should do to help my recovery (it has been over a month with only little improvement)?

What Are Some Physical Therapy Exercises That Can Reduce The Risk Of Bedsores?

My sister is 16. She was paralyzed in an accident, she’s very thin, she can’t use her hands or roll over, and she has to be diapered mainly because she can’t control herself. She’s still in the hospital but will be coming home soon. What are some good physical therapy exercises or massages to do on her that can reduce the risk of bedsores? She’s quadriplegic, I want to help do physical therapy on her daily when she gets home.
