My doctor ordered me to receive physical therapy. I expected to go to the therapist’s and get personal attention. Instead, the office was full of patients receiving treatment. He gave me some exercises to do, then ran off to attend other clients and left me alone. How many patients do they schedule at a time? There was like 10 people there and one therapist. Not only that, there was no receptionist so he also had to answer the phone and do scheduling while trying to do PT. What if I had a problem and needed his attention?
I was in a car accident a little over a year ago, I had a pre existing back problem that was retriggered, I have been through physical therapy, injections and a back brace. My orthopedic specialist informed me that surgery would be my best option. I am alittle apprehensive, but I am tired of being in pain. Can anyone tell me what to expect after surgery? What kind of lawsuit do I have? I was rear-ended on my way home from work in a construction zone.
I pulled my groin over 3 weeks ago, still can not walk more than a few steps….I went to a doctor last week, she wants me to do physical therapy. My appointment is Friday. What should i expect? I am hoping to limit it to one or two sessions as I do not have insurance…what should I ask them? Thanks
Hi! I am working on going back to school for my MA. I am a fitness freak (no i don’t want to be a personal trainer although i wouldn’t mind doing that on the side) But I am really leaning towards taking up physical therapy. I broke my arm one time and I enjoyed rehabbing my arm and talking to my PT. I have never had a problem with science subjects back in college. I am a psychology major.
Here are some of my questions:
Where in southern california has a good PT program?
How is the work like? I really had a good time with my PT and thought it would be really fun working with patients get their full movement back etc. I just need a bit of background on this as I don’t have any friends who are in the field. Oh and what is the salary like?
i’m going for the first time tomorrow and i’m just wondering what exactly they do in physical therapy for a torn knee ligament.
I was seeing an orthopedic because i have very bad pain in my back due to scoliosis in my back and neck and when muscle relaxers, physical therapy, and stretches were not helping he told me to make an app. with a pain management doctor. My mom goes to pain management so i made an app. with her doctor. What do you think he will do for me when i go? I already want a breast reduction, can he help me find a surgeon?
PS- Back surgery is not an option
MY 16 mo. old son is not walking on his own yet so his Dr. is sending him to physical therapy. He is not delayed on anything but walking. He crawls, walks holding on to things and can climb on and off of furniture by himself. I’m just wanting to know what will happen when I take him to physical therapy. Will the therapist take the time to let him get used to her because he doesn’t like strangers. How long does each session usually last for each person or does it just depend on each case? Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer.
My mother just got into a bad car wreck-she was hit by a driver who ran a red light. She’s having to spend two weeks in the hospital and will have at least 2 months of physical therapy. Her pelvic bone was fractured in many places so there will be a lot of physical therapy. But she will have to spend a couple weeks in a wheel chair and then on to using a cain until she is fully recovered. (other injuries included punctured and collapsed lung and broken collar bone).
How do we calculate the amount to ask for pain and suffering?
Someone said to take the amount of all medical costs and lost wages and times that by 2-and that’s what to ask for. I’m not sure how all of it works and when the insurance company gives an amount to settle, how will I know if it is fair or not?
I am 12 and have had a stress fracture for about 4 months, I am on crutches and I’m starting physical therapy on Tuesday. I am in EXTREME pain during the night, and moderate pain during the day. How long will this go on? Help, please and thank you.
