I fractured my ankle on October 3. I was in a cast for 2 months. I got the cast off December 2. Started physical therapy 4 days later. I have been doing physical therapy. I do the simple exercises every day and twice a week I do the full exercises. However, I get this pain in the back of my foot (where my Achilles Tendon is) and a bit on the inner side of my foot. I have to move my foot/ankle in a circular motion until it cracks and then the pain goes away. About 2-3 minutes later, the pain is back and the cycle begins again. Why? I am doing good with physical therapy. I broke my left foot, lower fibula (the ankle). It happened while playing soccer. I am a 12-15 year old female. The doctor said that it is just kinks in the ligaments from being stiff and should go away within a week or two after getting the cast off. Why is this happening? Please!

Ironically I work in rehab therapy, but when someone refuses it is there right. She did all the cooking and light housework in her home before this and my Papa is lost without her. My grandma has been acting strange. ie: in the hospital room she made my mom take down all the flowers and pictures of the doctors because she said she thought it was for her funeral. She also thought she saw my family on TV toasting with champagne saying,”the witch is dead.” Last night she was sent to an outpatient facility and would not let the nurse take her blood pressure stating that she was leaving. She called my grandfather latter that night telling him that if he dose not get her out of there she is going to call 911 or a taxi cab. She has already stated that she will be refusing rehab. It seems she is causing this on herself because the only way for her to get better is to be a particapant in therapy. Help!
Hi ! My left patella got fractured in November , 2006. I hv had surgery and am now undergoing rehab. By when can I resume my normal life ( as in walking , going to office , driving ). Wd there be any long term physical problems ?

I have been going to physical therapy and was off work for six weeks before returning just part-time for now. I am finding myself not breathing enough and having to remind myself to take deep breaths. After each deep breath I still feel an enormous amount of pain and the pressure there is constant. It has been nearly ten weeks. How long can I expect this to go on, and is it normal?
