what should I expect? I have had chronic pain for 10 years of my sacroiliac joint. I have documented osteoarthritis and bone spurring in this joint. I had tried acupuincture, physical therapy 3 times, chiropactic, medications, and I take lidocaine patches every day.
This feels like my last resort…. what do you think he will do… my PCP is “afaid” to prescribe me real pain meds… but I am living in pain ALL the time and do not feel as if I can have a normal life. I must mention I am only 34 and have had this for 10 years.
What should I expect?

About almost a year ago i woke up with a stiff neck one morning out of nowhere. The pain never went away. I have a stiff neck, mainly on my right side of my neck up to about the middle of my head, tight shoulders, and a tight upper back, all sometimes with pain too. I’ve had an x-ray on my neck which came out normal, physical therapy for 2 months which didnt improve much, and an mri that came back pretty normal on my neck and upper back. Minor scoliosis but the orthopedic doctor saw nothing that looked too extreme, but he was also a clueless idiot. Can anyone help me out…..it’s so stressful, physically and mentally.
i got hit in football and got nerve damage in my right shoulder and ive been going ot physical therapy but its not working so is there a way to fix it without going to physical therapy???
HELP ME IF U CAN!
About a month and a half ago I woke up and had very severe pain in my back. I could barely move for two days. It felt as though my back was as stiff as a board.
Since then I have more mobility but most of the pain is on my left side. The pain goes from my lower left back through my left butt cheek and then down into my leg.
Most of the time the pain is moderate but at times it will hurt like crap.
I am thinking I may have some nerve damage or a pinched nerve or something.
I have done 4 sessions of physical therapy and afterwards it helps my muscles relax but later on it’s back to the same old thing.
I am trying to get some opinions from others who may have had similar problems before I spend thousands going to different doctors and such.
Pain In My Lower Back With Pain Going Down My Left Leg In Deperate Need Of Possible Answers!?
Feb 18
Hi UM this is my first time really using one of these for this type of thing but i am in a desperate need of a possible answer about 4 weeks ago i started having a severe back pain that landed me right in the emergency room upon my x-ray they told me it was a possibly compression fracture! so another 2 weeks went by i had a ct scan done and they told me they cold see nothing visibly wrong with my back but doctor gave her prognosis as being compressed nerves from the L1 down and that i should go on a diet and start physical therapy because of my height but some how i don’t think that is what is going on the pain radiates up and down my spine and then it shoots down into my leg i just would like to know if there is ne one out there who may have or known someone who may have had this or something similar to it that could give advice or help it would be greatly appreciated
Ok here’s the deal, I’m 23 years old (I’ll be 24 this December) and I had an MRI about a month ago, found out that I have a herniated disc in my lower back. Here’s my problem, I’ve always had back pain but it’s just never been this severe and I use to always see the chiropractor. I’m just upset since this is my 3rd week off of work, the pain is still in my hips down into my left leg, sometimes my left toes and at night when I try to sleep the pain is just 10x more severe. I don’t want surgery this young in my life, physical therapy seems to make it hurt worse and I don’t really know any other at home remedies? Anyone else have this problem with some suggestions? I tried putting the vinegar into my bathwater to drawl the pain out but now I’m itching like crazy since I forgot I’m allergic to vinegar. Forgot to mention, I have a heating blanket I sleep on at night but even with it being on the lowest setting sometimes it still gets too hot. I tried the IcyHot and that only lasts for so long. Plus the doctor gave me percosets (oxycodine) and I don’t like taking them unless I just hurt that bad which is why I’m on here trying to find an alternative. Help, please?
i was in an auto accident on October 1, 2008 and have been in pain every day since. the problem is w/ my neck and upper back. i have had x-rays and gone through 2 separate 12 session stints of physical therapy which gave me no relief, the only thing that helps are the pain killers. I was just told that i need to get an MRI and most likely have herniated disks and my next step is pain management. I was told I would be getting an epidural treatment I am terrified of needles, i can’t even watch someone get them on tv. I checked out what info i can get online but would like to hear from someone who has had this tye of treatment and what you thought of it, did it help you, does it hurt to have it done, any other things you might be able to tell me to put my mind at rest. thanks in advance

She has yet to get for compensation. My question she doesn’t need physical therapy any more but he md saids she should go for the compensation. If she doesn’t want to go because she doesn’t need it and plus she need to look for a job would this damage any future legal case she has try to get compensation pay?
I have to get a bachelors before moving on to the doctorate anyway and it seems like people who need physical therapy might have some emotional trauma as well so it would help me understand them more. Plus I like psychology. Do I have to stick with a science for my bachelors? Like biology or nursing?
