I have had tendonitis in my wrist for near two years and it gets so frustrating to have it still be painful. It all started when i was obsessively drawing with a pen till my wrist was in so much pain i had to stop. i thought i was building muscle bc it was sore but wow i was really wrong………… i have done physical therapy, and most of the typical stuff and now i want some more ideas???? i do some of the wrist stretches as well and mostly try to stay off of it. i don’t draw anymore and dabble with the guitar which can make my wrist quite angry? i just need some ideas on how to really get this healed. please………

I have 2 herniated discs “6.5″ and “5.5mm” which is large for herniated discs. I wanted to know if anyone knows of anyway i can help to heal these discs without surgery. Its been about 2 years now and Ive tried physical therapy and I also did spinal decompression, with little pain relief. So if anyone out there knows of anything that might help please let me know. Because I don’t want to have back surgery because they fail more then 50% of the time. Also i forgot to mention that im only 19!
Thanks again

2 Months 2 weeks ago, I went to the ER for severe knee pain and I was told that I had classic symptoms of a meniscus (sp) tear. I am still in pain, there is still some swelling, and it is still tender to the touch. I went to the employee wellness office since it was an on the job injury. I have had an X-ray (no broken bones) and an MRI (Nothing was torn according to this doc). Since was a work related injury, I feel as if they are down playing this injury. After the first visit with this doc, he called it a sprain. After the 2nd visit, he said it was just damaged cartilalige (sp) and it just needed to heal on its own. On the 3rd visit I was told that it was just “growing pains” and I would just have to deal with it for the rest of my life. I am at a loss! I have an appointment with an orthorpedic doc later today. I just wanted to know what you guys think about this. I have also had 3 weeks of physical therapy (3x a week) and on the very last week, we started a new machine. I have been dealing with SHARP pains in 2 new places on the other side of my knee. Honestly, I am a tough person (Hey I had 5 brothers I better be) but I am in more pain than I should be in after an injury that is 2 months old.
The Ortho doc said it was VERY bad cart. damage. I have loose bodies floating around and I have to have surgery to fix it. NOW what do I do?
I’ve been in physical therapy for the past month for a hip over-rotation problem where sometimes the joint slips out of place. Today was the first time my joint had slipped out in two weeks and up until this point, I didn’t have pain walking and doing normal activities. How long does this type of injury usually take to heal? How long until I can start running again? My physical therapist has been very vague about these issues. Thanks!
I have been going to a dr. for 9 mo. now and I am still in same condition. He keeps sending me to physical therapy and they give me these dumb exercises and nothing happens and I am in pain. Can some please tell me what to do?
Just looking for some real-life experience! Broke both my radius and ulna…have two plates and screws holding each of the bones together. Anyone out there have experience with similar situation? How long in a hard cast? Physical therapy? And does the pain EVER get better???
I fractured my fibula playing lacrosse on October 18. Im in an air cast or “boot”, the doctor said I am out for 6-8 weeks and then the rehab/Physical therapy. Im 17 years old, I drink milk non-stop, and i desperatley need to be back before January.
Could I be back by then? January 1st is 85 days, 10 full weeks from the break.
I injured my lower back about 3 weeks ago. It still has yet to heal after physical therapy. Some of the exercises brought the original pain back. I have noticed lately if im squatting down to pick something up and as I stand I get dizzy/light headed. Any ideas what this could be?
I’ve had left shoulder pain for several months, and finally asked one of the orthopedic surgeons that works in my office if she could take a look at it. Her perception is that is a labral tear. I’ve been exercising and stretching on a regular basis for about 4 weeks and haven’t gotten worse, but not necessarily better either. I’m very careful with exercises and my biggest emphasis is technique and not overdoing load (weight).
