I work full time for my company, but part-time in one postition and part-time in another still makes me a part-time employee and ineligible for benefits. I make a little too much for medicaid, but not enough to buy a plan that covers me. I lost my last health insurance 2 years ago when I lost my old job while I was having surgeries on my hand to fix a bone defect. My problem is now that I’m having a lot of problems with my hand and will need another surgery to fix the problem. I can’t afford to pay 30k for it and no doctor will do it because it’s “not an emergency” eventhough I’m in pain. I know that I’ll have to be insured for a year before it will cover a pre exhisting. The hospital turned me down for any type assistance, and even if it did I the doctors are all seperate so I’m still in a lot of debt plus physical therapy is expensive.
What can I do?

What Careers In Health Care Pay Better Than A Physical Therapist With The Same Amount Of School?
Feb 7
I am currently going to school for my bachelors in health science and then plan on attending a physical therapy program, but am kind of bummed that the pay is only 60-70,00 for the 7 years of schooling it takes. Is there any other 3 year post bachelor programs or careers in health care that pay better?
I need to know where I can find a Woman’s Health Physical Therapist in Ohio, that can help with my condition of Vulvodynia. Like, it don’t need to be listed that they know about vulvodynia.
What To Do If Your Application For Health Insurance Coverage Is Denied Due To Lower Back Issues?
Jan 23
I was denied new health insurance coverage in May 2007 because of lower back pain in January 2007 for which I received physical therapy. I have had continuous health insurance coverage for more than 2 years with no history of back ailments. If I reapply again now (for coverage starting in September), am I likely to be denied again? Is there anything I can do about it? My group coverage through work is very costly, and I’d prefer to have a more affordable plan.
Instead of heading straight to graduate school next year to get my DPT, I am considering taking some time off and getting a job so I can actually pay for graduate school. I will be receiving a Bachelor’s of Health Science in the spring and my major was Exercise Science: Pre-Physical Therapy Concentration. Apart from getting my license to be a PT Assistant, is my degree enough to get me a job as a PT Assistant?
Hello, I am a college student who want to become a physical therapist. I have somewhat of a checkered past. When I was a juvenile I was convicted of three misdemeanors. They were for things like underage drinking and trespassing. I also went to drug rehab and am a recovering addict.
My question is, will this prevent me from becoming a physical therapist? All of the crimes were over seven years ago, and were not violent, sexual, or against vulnerable people. I am a genuinely different person now, and have a great GPA and do lots of community service.
Any information would be great, thanks.
Health: Rehab Teens?
Jan 13
I recently read a study about how 9 out of 10 teens that come out of rehab go back to drug use and relapse. What are 3 steps to change behavior in these teens, and explain why a fourth step is involved with a physical dependency.
