I was hurt on the job last year, i injured my hand by tearing my legiments in my right hand, and the pain is so horrible now, a year later, and l&i are being complete jerks about this, they decided to cut my pain clinic medical help and wont pay for my medicine anymore, I talked to a nurse at the University of Washington where i got my surgery last march, and she said l&i decided to send me to a rehability center in Seattle, which is a ferry ride away from my house which if forever away to me, to take care of my medical needs, she said i will get an small apartment and $60,000 worth of medical costs along with physical therapy and medical attention including medicine, but im completely lost and they are sending me a borchoure within the next few days, but what i dont understand is why are they going to pay that much money for this when they wouldnt even cover small amount of costs from medical care in my town whats your outlook on this? anyone been to a rehab for injury matters?

my moms recently been discharged from a physical rehab hospital .she has a multiude of health problems,as does my father.my father has alzhiemers disease and after my moms recent colon polyp operation she de veloped anesthesia related dementia,my mother is 89 yrs old. shes home almost a week and is totally unresponsive to me ,my father the home care health aide ,her sister and my brother.she getting rebellious and today she picked a fight with my father.hes no better he roams around getting into everyone hair,he takes things ( ie money,important papers and either misplaces things or throws them away.hes thrown my passport book away. should my brother have my parents put in a home where they are WELL CARED FOR ? he maybe forced into this since my mother picked a fight with my father.he doesnt want them in a home but to me things arent so nice here.my brother better wisen up before my mother does something really off.are you on the same wavelegnth as i am on this?
I am a middle age woman, was in an accident last year and absolutely can not even do the things I use to do. I can’t even go shopping for 45 minutes without being in pain. Yes we have gone to a lawyer, and I was offered one settlement, told the lawyer to tell them NO. Now I have went back to the doctor and my back is messed up either to the point where physical therapy is my best and temporary means and the worst case scenerio is back surgery which I do not want at all. How do you put a price on the suffering to make a settlement?
I was having alot of pain after surgery and physical therapy did not help,i told the surgeon and he said there was nothing more he could offer me,but another cortizone shot! I went to have a second opinion and my new surgeon said that i have radial tunnel and cubital tunnel which the emg showed abnormalities.This is a work related injury.My new surgeon said in his report that the tennis elbow surgery failed,and there should have been more tests on my elbow by my previous surgeon. Can anybody please help me with what i,ve gone thru?
Help. I’m a college student who has tried everything from pain management to chiropractic to orthopedic to physical therapy.
I fell off a broken stool and fought to change my momentum. I stepped on the side of my ankle 5 or 6 times. Have gone from doctor to doctor and recently the ankle gave way and I resprained it. This is when I was told that I broke it 2 years ago with a hairline break in the fibula. I have done Physical therapy 3 times now and have had 3 nerve block procedures. I am in constant pain and have continual swelling despite following instructions of ice/elevation/rest, etc. The more active I am the more pain and swelling there is. I can’t do anything not even swim without problems. What can I do? I want my life back and it has been nearly 2 years. I am working with a pain mgmt specialist, PT, and am due to rtn to my orthopedic foot specialist. I can’t keep on working to get better ,gut through the pain and then suddenly loose my balance and fall down. Living like this is very dangerous. Any and all advice will be appreciated. Please? Thank you.

okay, so heres the scenario. my knee injury has healed up, but because i havent used it in a long time, it has become weak. now im in physical rehab to build up the strength in my leg muscles. but i alse wanna stay fit in other areas such as my arms, abs, chest, etc.. . i know that protein builds up muscles, so if i exercise other areas of my body (arms, abs, chest, etc), will it take some protein away from my leg in order to go to other parts, and in turn slow down the stregthening processs/rehab of my leg? or if i just fully devote exercise to my leg, will the results be different, being strengthened faster because of the concentrated nutrients? or is there no such thing?
Physical therapist with a seriously injured wrist. How can they still rehab patients? Would their be any serious changes with their work? How can they continue without canceling appointments referring them to another clinician?
