What Rights Do We Have In Regards To Military Medical Discharge Due To Poor Medical Treatment?

In Sept 2005, my husband broke his ankle & severed some ligaments during field training. He was told that it was only a sprain for the first 4 months, sent to Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist would not treat him stating that he had a fracture on initial x-rays. He was referred to a doctor who gave no treatment except pain meds. He went through about 6 months of therapy with no improvement, his pain levels actually got worse. The doctor told him that he was just one of those that do not heal from a sprain as quickly as others. His first medical discharge was canceled due to lack of treatment and the doctor passed him off. After a MRI 8 months after the injury, he had the initial fracture and another fracture as well as poor ligament structure. He did have surgery at about the one year mark to try and repair the damage. He is now facing a second medical discharge and cannot walk without a cane. He will be like this for the rest of his life.
What options do we have?
I have a herniated disc, a bulge in another part of my back or neck, my neck is straighter than it’s supposed to be. My back and neck muscles are all knotted up effecting my motor skills in my legs, weakness in my limbs, I have pain that spreads from my lower back and wraps around my abdomen.
I’ve done physical therapy twice, what they call manipulation, just of full body PT massage, I’ve gone to a chriopractor. I have an apoint at the med rehab clinic in a month. My doctor said I may possibly have to get a cortosone shot. What are some other options? I heard they can put the disc back in place, or surgery. I’m scared about all 3 because of the pain. Has anyone tried massage therapy or accupuncture? Do I have any other options?
I Want To Obtain A Medical Marijuana Card, But I Am Going To School To Become A Physical Therapist.?

I know that you are ineligible for a Federal Job, once your name’s on the list for Medical Marijuana card holders.. Since I have to obtain a state physical therapist license from California, is there any way that the medical marijuana card could affect me in the future?
I had ACL reconstructive surgery 6 years ago and have never had any problems with the recovery. Day to day, I never feel a thing in my knee and it feels great.
Today I was in yoga class, spending a significant amount of time in partially-bent-knee positions and did some partner assists in which someone else’s weight was on my body… I didn’t feel any pain or anything in my knee…everything felt fine.
When I got home however the front of my left leg (knee surgery leg) felt very numb, similar to the feeling I had for a few months following my surgery. My knee feels a little tender and sore, but not sharp or painful. No swelling. I put ice on it…
Is this anything I should be concerned about??? What should I do to take care of it?
A friend of mine broke his tibia (shin bone) and severely tore the ligaments in his knee while in the U.S. Army. My question is: Will physical rehabilitation and possible surgery happen before he is granted a medical discharge?
Also: Will he always have a limp?
I am planning on becoming a physical therapist assistant and my couselor at my school said that I can also get a degree in medical assisting, while I am waiting to get into the PTA program, but I’m not really sure which one is better and what exactly a medical assistant is. I love physical therapy and it is my dream to become a PTA. Any suggestions?
What does massage therapist does in a physical therapist or similar establishment? I know what they do at spas, but what are their duties at the physical therapist’s office? Is it just massage before treatment by physical therapist or some extra duties are expected from massage therapists?
