i have had shoulder pain for more than 3 monthes after a swimming injury. i have pain in my shoulder before (even when not swimming) but i didnt take it seriously but after the injury it hurt enough to see a doc. i got x-rays done, been having physical therapy twice a week for 3 monthes and seen a sports medicine physician. i got a mri but my doc said its normal but i requested a copy and it stated:
-benign nodes in shoulder
- fluid in bursa
i have cracking, unbearable pain (with a high pain tolerance), and im on anti-inflammatories, and taping on shoulder but no less pain.
i am also worried because i have found a lump on my collarbone about 6 monthes ago, and forgot about it. now in the shower the other day i felt it and its gotten wayyy bigger.
could the nodes in my shoulder be cancerous? is the lump bad? its on the same side of my injured shoulder so could it be causing pain?
also, im only 13 so how do i tell my parents about the lump,they may not believe me. 10 points!

I am confuse between those two….anyone who is physical therapist assistant or dental assistant tell me who much do u make a year?? I dont know which one make more money…I have to make my decision soon and I wana study the one who makes more money..thank you
Been with my husband for 4 years.Gotten very physical and I’ve had a broken cheekbone when his foot met my face.Both of us in and out of jail, mainly me.( His buddies always have his back.) That was due to our heavy drinking through the years. We are now both sober, me 6mnths, him 5mnths and he’s currently in rehab. After all the other attempts to make this work, do you think being sober will make the difference???
I realize the two careers are very different and I have looked at both jobs extensively. Are both of these careers in high demand right now and do you think they will be around for awhile? I’d love to hear from Ultrasound Techs and Physical Therapists to hear your take.?
More Knee Pain?

i had surgery last october on my knee (lateral release) and the pain this year is worse then it was before surgery. Ive been told many times that its just the weather, but the weather cant effect it like this all freakin year! I had a cordison shot once before surgery and it actually made the pain worse. My original ortho now lives in SC, and there are many other doctors at the practice, but i dont want to have to go through the same thing over again with another doc. What should i do? ive tried all sorts of different pain meds, ice, physical therapy (3 times), and then finally last year with the surgery…whats next?
I would perfer the opinion of actural chiropractors and physical therapist. OH and also I have to get a job in college to pay for it, so which one may be easier to study but also keep my job?
I injured my knee in late October. I had an MRI and my two main problems are a sublaxation of my patellar tendon and a grade II MCL sprain. I completed two months of physical therapy and I still have knee tracking problems and pain in the MCL area. I have been going to the gym on a regular basis and riding the recumbent bike (it’s the only piece of cardio equipment I can use with little pain and swimming hurts) and doing my at home physical therapy plan. At my last visit to the doctor he gave me a brace that holds my knee cap in place and told me to come back in four weeks. He also mentioned that I may need more physical therapy or possibly surgery.
The first month of therapy really helped. My knee didn’t change much with the second month and it is exactly the same as it was now (which my last therapy was 12/24).
I’m all for more physical therapy versus surgery but what more can a physical therapist do? Do they have more rigorous things they can do besides the left lifts and wall squats that I was doing?

I went 3 nights a week for 8 weeks! Has anybody else ever given their physical therapist a gift for fixing them? I’m not totally fixed but I feel a Hellava lot better! What kind of gift would be good? He is a man in, I’m guessing, his late 20’s.
I’m a 16 year old female and I hurt my shoulder playing softball. I had a physical therapy appointment yesterday. At my appointment they did ultrasound, and put Electra pads on my shoulder. Then today my shoulder is hurting me really bad to where my whole arm has throbbing pain. It even hurts to move my arm. Could physical therapy cause more pain than what you started with? Please help.
