Do Physical Therapist And Occupational Therapist Pretty Much Lvn’s? Doing A Lot Of Cleaning Up?

No. It is a CNA or Housekeeping that do “clean up” work. Physical and Occupational therapists work with people who have had muscle or skeletal problems. They do things like teaching them how to walk properly, build muscular strength in both upper and lower body areas. No “dirty work” involved at all and most Community Colleges offer a 2 year program, but be prepared to take a lot of pre-requisites (Anatomy & Physiology, etc).

Please Help I’m In So Much Pain!?

I was injured in a car accident and went to a chiropractor for help (for my neck). He manipulated my back at least 17 times 3X a week. My back was not injured in the car accident. Now I am in constant pain in my back and pelvis and on Vicodin. I’m not overweight and take good care of myself. I cry when I wake up in the morning. What did he do to me? I’ve never heard of chiropractor putting someone in so much pain. He used a drop table and I feel he was rough for someone my size. I’ve missed graduations, communions. This is upsetting my whole family, and I’m not old. I feel like I could end up in a wheelchair if this keeps up. I found he has already been disciplined so I know he has hurt other people. Anyone have any ideas? I will be trying physical therapy to repair the damage.

How Much Is My Nevada Car Accident Claim Worth?

I live in Nevada, was involved in a rear end collision and sustained back and neck injuries. I have had CT scans, X-rays, and MRI’s all done, which concluded that I sustained a severe whiplash injury and I also have some herniated and bulging disks in my lumbar spine, along with extensive tendon/ ligament damage from the impact. I have been going to a chiropractor, physical therapy, and pain management and will hopefully be medically released in the next few weeks. I have been medically restricted from working for the last 12 weeks and have lost approximately $12,000 in wages. My medical bills have (so far) totaled up to $20,830. That is a total of $32,830 this has cost me! Being a rear end collision, the other driver was obviously at fault and I was curious if anybody might have some idea what this case could be worth?

Car Accident Pain And Suffering. How Much Is Fair?

A little over a year and a half ago, my spouse and I where hit by an oncoming car. My spouse had some minor neck pain which subsided about a week later, however my pain lasted about a year and three or four months. I went to the ER, six months of physical therapy, several visits to message therapy and about five months of visits to the chiropractor. The offender’s insurance accepted full liability. My Current medical bills amount to about $8,600. I have been sent to collections and have been having to pay these bills out of pocket. Also, I had many sleepless nights due to my injuries, not to mention the accident occurred three months after my wedding. How much would be suitable to settle for?

How Much Pain Is Normal After Starting Pt Post-shoulder Surgery?

I had shoulder arthroscopy with a Bankart Repair, Remplissage (technique to deal with large, engaging Hill-Sachs lesions that involves anchoring part of the rotator cuff into the divot in the bone), and tightening of the front of the joint capsule on January 5. I just started, per surgeon’s orders, physical therapy this past Monday (February 1).
All that’s being done at this point is passive movement, mostly stretching, not past 30 degrees of external rotation or above shoulder height to the front.
I’ve only had it twice, but the pain is excruciating. On the pain scale of 0-10 (10 being the worst, 0 being no pain) I went from approximately a 3 (on 800mg of ibuprofen) or a 5-6 (no painkillers) on Sunday to an 8 Monday night after PT, had my second session today, and am currently hovering around a 6 on percocet (which was prescribed post-surgery- I had a few left and the pain after PT was around a 9).
Anyway, what I’m wondering is, is this level of pain normal at this stage? I’ve left a message for my surgeon, but tomorrow is his surgery day, so it’s unlikely he’ll get back to me before Monday (possibly tomorrow night if he checks with his office before going home). If it reaches such a high level (8-10) again, should I just not worry about him for the moment and go to the emergency room, or is this to be expected and the ER will just tell me to ice/rest/take anti-inflammatories, etc?
Just some stats that may or may not be relevant:
22-year-old female in good physical condition (5′5″, 117, exercise regularly and eat healthily)
Injury was from a bicycle accident in October that resulted in a dislocation and severe instability
Currently taking Avelox (Leviquin) for chronic sinus infection
No other health problems
Thank you!

Too Much Pain?

I am 21 weeks pregnant now, but even before I was pregnant I have had back problems. Ever since I was 8, I’ve just had horrible pains. [I have scoliosis] & also had pretty bad sciatica pains before I was pregnant.
The past 2 years have been pretty bad, that my doctor prescribed me pain killers. Obviously, when I found out I was pregnant I had to stop taking those. But suprisingly, my back has been fine. Up until earlier this week. They were so bad I couldnt get out of bed, and it scares me because I know contractions are far worse, and that back pains get really bad in the third trimester, once you walk around with a huge belly all the time.
My question is what kind of things have other pregnant woman done to relieve the pain. Did exercises help?
oh yeah, and my insurance does not pay for the physical therapy that my doctor wants to me get.
