I Have Muscle Pain In My Right Arm From My Neck Down To My Hand.?

Nothing gives me pain relief. My doctor took x-rays said it was a pinched nerve in my neck and sent me for physical therapy. I went and still feel just as much pain. I am looking for something OTC available that will give me pain relief. I have taken Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen, aspirin and Tylenol. I have used gels such as Biofreeze. This has been going on since February 9th. Does anyone have some suggestions?
Thank you.

How Do I Resolve Gluteus Muscle Spasm Every Time I Stand?

Does anyone know a treatment or how long it will take for this to resolve? Do I need physical therapy? I’m experiencing pain when I stand up. Sitting can be uncomfortable too. It started with a lower back issue, which then seemed to turn into sciatica and now whenever I get up from a chair my Gluteus Medius “hip” muscle (it seems that’s the one) spasms or cramps.

Physical Therapy For Nerve Damage? Dog Is Lame, Quickly Losing Muscle Tone?

My sister’s dog (2 year old English Setter) stepped in a gopher hole about 3 months ago and has been lame since (left front). After ruling out ligament, muscle, and tendon issues, dysplasia, OCD, and several other possibilities, the veterinary specialist he saw determined it to be nerve damage caused by his fall-permanent-no chance of improvement. The dog is not in pain, but lifts his paw probably because of numbness somewhere in the leg (like your foot falling asleep). This dog has virtually no muscle tone left in his left shoulder, and is losing muscle in his leg, as well. The only time he is really willing to use his leg is when he is running wide open (usually after a bird)…in which case, he doesn’t seem injured at all.
Now for the question: does anyone have either experience with physical therapy for dogs, or a referral to a book, website, or even better, an actual vet or physical therapist who works with these issues in dogs? There are two universities within 4-8 hours of us (Ames, Iowa and Minneapolis, MN), but something much closer would be better. In the vicinity of Sioux Falls, SD; Fargo, ND; even Omaha, NE would be much easier. Really, anywhere in the country is fine, there is still the possibility of a telephone or video consultation.
The specialist, of course, suggested swimming, but not only is there no place to swim the dog around here in the winter, but the dog-like many Setters-is very shy of water. Swimming is out until at least May, when the water starts to warm up.
If anyone has any ideas on where her family could look for advice and guidance on starting a physical therapy program for the dog, it would be much appreciated. If you think one of your contacts may be able to help, please star the question for them, or e-mail it to them, their family really needs some help with this. Thanks!

What Are Good Herbs For Muscle Pain Relief?

I have a history of back spasms, followed by muscle pain that gets pretty intense. I am in physical therapy, but the pain is unreal. My doctor won’t prescribe me pain medications – and I’m wary of the addictive nature of them, especially for such a long term issue as my back problems. I’d like a natrual route, an herbal mixture I can combine with stretching, excersise, and muscle strengthening.

I Have Changed Pain Meds, Muscle Relaxers, Epidurals, Water Therapy, Physical Therapy Unsuccessful. Help?

I have been overweight all of my adult life. in April of 2007 I weighed 310 lbs. I knew I had to get the weight off or I was going to die prematurely as my Father and sister have done. I joined Weight Watchers and took off 88 of the 164 I needed to lose. But since May of 2008 I have struggled and put over 20 lbs back on. Even when I was walking, doing aerobics and trying my best, I had constant pain. Now I’m on disability, and miserable. I want to be healthy and pain free.

Popping Joints And Muscle Pain From Physical Therapy Exercises..please Help.?

Two weeks ago, I had surgery on my left hand. For two weeks, and for five more weeks, I have hasd to go to daily physical therapy to get my hand working again. With the exercises I have to do, I have to use my good hand to put pressure on the bads hand while I do the exercises. Lately, my mucscles on my good side of my body have started to hurt. I think it is bedcause of all the work I am doing with them to do the exercises. Also, my elbow, shoulder, and wrist joints have begun popping.

The problem is..I can’t stop doing the exercises, or my bad hand will lock up. Any suggestions? I’d rather not hurt my good hand/arm/shoulder in the process of trying to fix the hand I had surgery on.
