I’ve had severe nerve pain for about 4 years, I am on disability – I was approved the first time. That should tell you how severe it has been. T11 and T12 were severely rotated, and T10, L1 L2 were also rotated. The pain runs across the #11 Nerve – Intercostal nerve. They tried meds like Neurontin and Lyrica, they helped with the pain a lot but I couldn’t tolerate either, both caused me severe side effects and I had to quit both. All they can do is give me narcotics and send me to the pain clinic – both methods are ineffective for me.I’ve improved a lot in the past year, mostly through physical therapy – but I still don’t have enough control of pain – and I’m trying to get where I can work again. My wife died a year ago (she was 42, I am 45 now) -and I don’t want to be home all the time,I want to be productive, and I try very hard. The pain along the 11 nerve is still fairly bad,and if I go off the narcotics it’s unmanageable. I’ve gone to lots of doctors for 4 years, not much help

Nerve Pain?
Feb 3
I have been going to a dr. for 9 mo. now and I am still in same condition. He keeps sending me to physical therapy and they give me these dumb exercises and nothing happens and I am in pain. Can some please tell me what to do?
I’ve seen a neurologist who on MRI discovered I have a bluge between my C5 & C6 vertebrae. A surgeon also looked at it, and decided we should try physical therapy first, and I’ll go for my first session next week. I initially went for treatment because I’d been having terrible tingling, burning, itching and shocky sensations in my right hand, then going all the way up my arm to my shoulder blade for several weeks.
I now notice that when I try to pu
I’ve had nerve pain for 4 years. I am trying to quit the narcotics I think they are causing me other problems, I want to quit badly -= but my pain totally gets out of control if I do.
rotated T11-12 and I’ve had 2 years of physical therapy – 15 months of chiropractic, I have an appointment scheduled for acupuncture, I’m not sure what else I can do. thanks
I have been diagnoised with sciatic and it has been coming on and off for a little bit now. I have had back problems for 5 years now and have tried chiro and physical therapy and both have not helped. What else can I do? And if I need surgury how long will recovery take?
I’ve been struggling with chronic back pain for almost 20 years now. I have a curved spine. I also have degenerative disc disorder. I’ve tried many procedures to ease the pain (chiropractor, Novocain injections, intense physical therapy, tens unit, heat therapy, moist heat therapy, massage therapy, over the counter meds., muscle relaxers, strong narcotics, yoga and stretching exercises on a therapy ball). One option I have is to have the bone that is rubbing the nerve shaved back. This is a surgical procedure. I’m reluctant to do it since the previous attempts I’ve made have failed. Does anyone else suffer from this type of chronic back pain? How do you cope? What can be done to ease the pain caused by a pressed nerve?
i am having physical therapy treatments for my siatic nerve in my lower back and left leg. can the pain run up your back also?

I have had lower back and leg pain for about two years. After the first bout I received a series of steroid shots and physical therapy. The first MRI showed L5-S1 tear/ facet arthropy/ moderate spinal stenosis. After the shots and therapy my pain subsided for the most part except for a constant nagging ache when I walk. Currently I am having the most intense pain starting on the right side of my lower back radiating down to my right knee. The pain is random, but when it comes it almost drops me, leaving me exhausted. Any ideas?
