I went to first pt appointment today, the therapist was pressing so hard into my stomach I thought he was going to rupture an organ. Is this a normal technique used by pts for low back pain?

I was in an accident a few weeks ago and the seat belt caused some pain in my abdomen. Could this have caused an external hemorrhoid to form? Maybe the medication made B M harder to do? I also had to go to physical therapy, could that have brought it out?
I’ve been struggling with chronic back pain for almost 20 years now. I have a curved spine. I also have degenerative disc disorder. I’ve tried many procedures to ease the pain (chiropractor, Novocain injections, intense physical therapy, tens unit, heat therapy, moist heat therapy, massage therapy, over the counter meds., muscle relaxers, strong narcotics, yoga and stretching exercises on a therapy ball). One option I have is to have the bone that is rubbing the nerve shaved back. This is a surgical procedure. I’m reluctant to do it since the previous attempts I’ve made have failed. Does anyone else suffer from this type of chronic back pain? How do you cope? What can be done to ease the pain caused by a pressed nerve?
I Was In A Car Accident Aug. 15 & Fractured My Sternum I Still Feel A Lot Of Pressure And Pain ?

I have been going to physical therapy and was off work for six weeks before returning just part-time for now. I am finding myself not breathing enough and having to remind myself to take deep breaths. After each deep breath I still feel an enormous amount of pain and the pressure there is constant. It has been nearly ten weeks. How long can I expect this to go on, and is it normal?

like a lit match was being held to it. She held the pressure for about a minute to the point where I was sweating and crying. I told her it was too painful but she kept it up. Is pain like this normal in PT? (And it hurt for days after)
