Ok so… Since becoming pregnant, technically my 4th pregnancy, but I’ve had 2 miscarries so this will be baby number 2. My hips have widened and my joints seem to have decided to loosen up like they did early on in my pregnancy with my son.
My one hip (left one) keeps going out of place, I have had the chiropractor put it back into place twice already and it is out for the third time. My OB is aware of the pain it’s causing me, and prescribed me some pain meds that should take off the edge of the pain.
I took one about 30 minutes ago, and normally it will start helping within 10-20. I’m feeling absolutely no relief and the pain is making me sick.
Any suggestions on how to help this pain? I’ve tried heating pads, warm baths, massage, none of it is working tonight.
Should I call “Ask a Nurse” and see what they suggest, or just try to ride it out til Monday when I start physical therapy?
**Honest opinions here please, and I don’t need anyone getting on me about taking the pain medication my OB prescribed**

was in an auto accident a few months back that left my neck, lower back, and left shoulder injured. Soft tissue damage mainly. A muscle spasm (that could be seen to the eye – kind of creepy) on my neck, and one in my back area. Anyway, I am nearly through physical therapy – doing some strength training now that I have been “healed” – so anyway, how does one go about determining the pain and suffering amount? I understand that I will negotiate this with the other driver’s insurance (he was found 100% at fault) – but what are the guidelines? What is a reasonable amount and how does one go about figuring that out? Anyone been through a similiar situation and have advice?

My 85 year old grama gigi fell down stairs x mas day, had a subdural hematoma, cats scans showed new bleed recently, Monday March 3 rd, they drained the bleed to release pressure . I am worried she has taken a turn for the worse, is it normal for her to not make sense , she is out of it not herself, wants to go home from rehab, she is getting physical therapy, before they will let her go home. Maybe this is part of the anesthesia wearing off and trauma and being old for surgery? or is it something she will be permananetly brain damaged, her husband pappy of 67 years is waiting at home and bedside and depends on her recovery for his survival as well, were positive and hope for the best for those with past experience who may know the outcome somewhat to expect, any ideas , advice welcome.thye family is so busy now its only pappy being there for her constant is there hope for her recovery? I need answers for them.Thank you

My aunt and my uncle have both had problems with using drugs for quite a few years now. My uncle dosen’t think that he has a problem whereas my aunt knows that she does. She ran away from him after years of mental, emotional, and brutaly physical abuse to rehab. She won’t tell anyone where this facility was or what she did there. All she would say is that they helped her and that she admitted herself under a false name. Is that even possible? She is staying with my mother (her sister) now that she is out and she is having to hide from her husband because he is pissed off that she ran away. She wants a divorce from him but is doubtful that she will get it. The whole family needs advice about how we can help her and things to avoid or steer her clear of. Any advice will be appreciated. We truly do want her to succeed with her sobriety.

My mother just had some tests done that tested for Casin intolerance and Gluten Intolerance. Both tests came back positive in a way.. She is definatly Intolerant to Casin.. However the gluten test showed intolerance but she doesnt have Celiac Disease. She carries 2 genes in her DNA that would most likely be passed to her children. Resulting in them being possibly gluten intolerant. My question is… My mother has been heavy most of her life.. I have been overweight most of mine as well. She has been to a nutritionist and works out on a regular basis through Cardiac rehab and Physical therapy and doesn’t lose any weight. Can Gluten Intolerance keep you from loosing weight or make you gain weight? Also… if Gluten intolerant, Can I eat brown rice?

I have been with the same doctor for over a year now, I started going to her because my back has hurt me for several years. about 4 months into seeing her she started prescribing me pain medications. I had to go get X-rays, MRI’s, Cat scans and even a myleogram. she had referred me to a neurosurgeon because I have a herniated disc that is pressing on a nerve in my back, causing severe pain in my lower back & down into my legs. the neruosurgeon said there is nothing that can be done with surgery because its not severe enough. now my doctor wants to take me off my pain medication and refer me to a pain specialist. I dont know why she wants to take me off the pain medication because its the only thing that helps me get around better without me being in so much pain. I dont know anything about a pain specialist, what all do they do? do they prescribe pain medication? should I look for another family doctor? I try to tell my doctor what is wrong with me and I feel like she doesnt listen to a word I say. she acts like all people do is mis-use pain medication, I dont misuse my medication at all, i take it as directed and everything. I know once I go off the pain medication my back will start hurting really bad all over again, it hurts to stand for too long, sit for too long, lay in certain positions. I dont know what to do, i feel like she’s treating me like I’m just another junkie looking for a high. the neurosurgeon knows whats wrong with my back and he agrees that i must be in pain, but he said he has no reason to treat me because i dont need surgery. every since he said that my family doctor wants to take me off the medication when i have proof that my back is messed up, she even has copies of all the tests I’ve been through! I’ve been to chiropractors, I’ve had physical therapy and both of them have made my back feel worse, I could barely walk out of physical therapy because my back was hurting so badly and I was in tears from the pain. she is aware of all of this, yet she wont listen. could someone please give me advice? what would you do? no rude comments please! thanks

OK now I’m at a Jr. College and taking my basics as well as a few Kinesiology classes. With the intent of becoming a PE coach. But I’ve been looking for a while at PT and OT. Both universities in my area have OT and PT under education and Kinesiology but only for a Bachelor, I would have to go else where for grad school. I do know to work at a clinic, hospital, or rehab facility you need a Masters degree with a certification. Is that right or can you take the certification exam test with a Bachelors? Are all masters programs three yrs? For OT and PT assistant is a Bachelors suitable for certification? Since the K-12 educational Kinesiology degree is a bit different from the pre OT PT will a grad school program except a student with a Kinesiology K-12 bachelor’s degree? And last I found a job opening with the local school district for a registered OT at special ed. school, but my question is on qualifications its says need Bachelors or Masters degree, so back to my question is a Bachelors ok? This type of job is nice because it involves still working with kids just like if I were to go in to coaching. https://jobs.ccisd.us/winocular/Jobs/Jobpost.exe
