My doctor wants me to get physical therapy. But I was told by multiple people that physical therapy doesnt work. And I dont have anyone who will watch my baby so I can go. I am only 19 so this sucks. Would a chiropractor help? What are some things that can help with this kind of pain? It hurts right underneath where my kidneys are on the sides. I know poor posture is part of the problem. I used to have kidney infections and this feels almost the same as it did when I had a kidney infection but I have went to the doctor every week for the past month and that is not what it is. Pain medicine doesnt help and I hate taking medicine anyway.

I had a work accident in the Prison I work in, involving inmates and myself and a 9 foot fall to a metal ground. I landed on my shoulder (right side) and have been out of work since 1/9/09.
The assessment was a tear in my right ac joint. Now I’m no doctor but the physical therapy is not helping me and lately the pain is so intense i get dizzy, headaches, and get sick in the stomach.
Firstly, as of now the doctors note is only good till March 28th. I know I need more time, I cant move the shoulder at all and the pain gets so intense I cant think. Working in a MAX-A Prison I need to be at 100% for myself and fellow Officers….
But what could it be? The Xrays showed nothing… and the Therapist wants me to get a MRI… Any ideas?
I have scoliosis of the thoracic and lumbar spine. I have cronic pain in my back and need to find the right doctor to help. I have gone to chiropractors and done physical therapy. Nothing helps! I do back exercises everyday but am still in excruciating constant pain. I need to find the right doctor who will do an MRI and help me. My pain may not be related to my scoliosis. I have good insurance so any suggestions I will take.
Several years ago, I was having a serious problem with both of my knees (mostly my right). I noticed that the pain occurred whenever I bent my knees and my knees would feel incredibly stiff and painful whenever I would keep them bent for more than 30 seconds. I went to the doctor and they ran a whole bunch of tests and said that it was rheumatoid arthritis. I’m 21 years old. OK, so they didn’t prescribe me anything, except physical therapy, which I didn’t do. Eventually the pain went away (it only really affected me during the cold months). Well, I went two full winters pain-free. This winter was almost pain free, until about a week ago. Only my right knee is in pain this time, but it’s in such worse pain than it ever was before. Should I go back to the doctor? What could they do for me, besides physical therapy?
Low Back Pain On Right Side?
Jan 21
I have had severe low back pain on my right side. The MRI shows some disc petrusion on the left at L4-5. I have had physical therapy, injections, and chiropractic care. The Orthopedic Surgeons are ordering up a test called a Disc a Gram to determine if I will need a low back fusion operation. I have had some heavy duty pain killers and they only eased the pain. The fusion operation scares me, so if I am missing something here, please let me know.
Nothing gives me pain relief. My doctor took x-rays said it was a pinched nerve in my neck and sent me for physical therapy. I went and still feel just as much pain. I am looking for something OTC available that will give me pain relief. I have taken Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen, aspirin and Tylenol. I have used gels such as Biofreeze. This has been going on since February 9th. Does anyone have some suggestions?
Thank you.
My right shoulder staring hurting about 5 weeks ago. It happened at work while lifting heavy objects over my head. At first my shoulder hurt and was really stiff. I also have trouble sleeping on it at night. I went to the doctor he said probably just a strain and ordered physical therapy and naproxen 3X a day. Physical therapy relieved stiffness but pain is still there. Actually it’s spreading. It started out just deep in my shoulder now it’s radiating down my arm, in between my shoulder blades and even alittle in my neck. Also, hands have been feeling weird. I also can’t move my right arm across my body to my other shoulder. It feels like it’s stuck and can’t move no farther. Sometimes you can force it alittle other times you can’t Now, my other shoulder is starting same thing. I’ve had a MRI but doctor says it showed nothing. He told me it may just be something that I have to learn to deal with. .
I have suffered with pain and anxiety from a car accident .My injury was from a front end impact accident when a person ran a red light and caused the accident. My car was totaled and I am still without a car.No xrays were taken of my hips which is a recent discovery.they took xrays of my entire back and neck ,lft knee, and foot which I have suffered for months with pain when I walked. Physical therapy only worsened my pain.when I am inactive it gets better. walking aggrivates my pain and the more I walk the worse it gets. Tell me why no xrays were taken of my hip area, when my leg had such impact in this accident?

I am a 31 yr old mother of three with a full time job. About 4 weeks ago I was at work lifting heavy objects over my head when I experienced a sharp burning pain in my right shoulder. At first I thought that I had just pulled something. Then a few days later I noticed that my arm felt weird almost like it was asleep or kind of tight and tingly feeling so I went to the Dr. He said I probably sprained it and to take Aleve. I went back in a week with no change so he also ordered physical therapy 3x a week for 2 weeks and MRI. Went back after 2 weeks of physical therapy and MRI with very litle change. Some of my range of motion is better but still in alot of pain. The pain is still keeping up at night and still hurts to drive. Still some restricted motion. Dr. said MRI showed nothing but tendonitis and type 2 acromion. Said I may just have to learn to deal with it. I can’t deal with it. Pain is in front and back of shoulder and under shoulder blade and can’t move arm across body.
