I have been having severe pain in my ribs for about a year now. On the left side my ribs poke out terribly and on the right side there is a really loud poping sound when i move a certain way. There hurt ALL the time, sometimes one more than the other. I have been to the doctor about this and she said it could be a calcium build up but she said it couldnt hurt as bad if it were one. I was sent to physical therapy for a month and that was just a waste of money. It didnt help at all. I cant see the doctor right now due to being in the middle of changing insurance. Pain pills dont work anymore, my body has became immuned to them. Im a 15 year ole female, and have missed so much school cause of this. THEY ALWAYS HURT.
Whats wrong with me?
and
How can this be fixed?
Thank you SO much.
I have a documented herniated disk which has caused complete havoc on my body. I occasionally suffer pain so intense that my skin aches, my eyes hurt, and I end up vomiting. The pain only gets that bad once or twice a week. I have tried everything from physical therapy to medications. About 2 years ago, a back specialist prescribed me oxycodone to stop the pain from escalating to vomiting. It worked incredibly. The pain was cut off…. my muscles relaxed…. and I would not get sick. I then moved to a different state and the doctors here have been very hesitant to give me narcotics because of the “chance” of addiction. Twenty (10/325) pills would last about 3 months. I hardly see this as “addicted”. But my doctor recently decided to cut off my prescription. I am 25, a senior graduating from a prestigious university, with a 3.9 GPA – hardly the addict type
How do I find a doctor who will prescribe the medication I need again? HELP! I am in so much pain right now.
I have had alot of pain in my knee since about July.
Symptoms:
*The Pain is right above my knee cap
*It hurts when my knee is bent(sitting, walking up stairs, jumping)
*Once I am sitting for a while, then pain decreases to a dull ache, and then when i go to extend it, it hurts again.
*It is my left knee
*I have VERY FLAT feet. I’ve had physical therapy on my feet because i have flat feet and VERY BAD OVERPRONATION. My bone in my foot actually rolls over onto the ground when I walk, when in a normal person it stays up and supports your foot.
*I also have a screw in that same ankle.
*I think the pain is caused by my knee trying to make up for what my foot is doing, and it’s injuring my knee.
Any advice? What do you think it could be? Tips?
Thanks!
I am 19 years old and I have been having this sharp intense pain where my hip and my left leg meet, at least that is what it feels like. When i move it certain ways it is excrutiating and sometimes i have trouble standing up from sitting down, I also have trouble walking.
If my legs are bent, sitting down in a chair and i straighten them, i also feel the same pain, but milder.
I was in a car accident in May of 2008 and I had some issues with my back. I went to physical therapy and my hips were unaligned, i did that for a while and nothing changed, but now suddenly, this pain hit me, what could have happened or what is it? It doesn’t seem like its getting better. People tell me to walk on it, I can sometimes, it seems like it depends on how I stand up from sitting down…I am not sure if I should ride it out for a while longer or just go to a doctor now…
Hi! I have a friend who is in her 50s. She has had mild leg pain for the past few years. Now the pain has intensified and she cant put any weight on it!!
Her right leg totally wont support any weight. The pain is from her foot up to her hip. Very intense. She has been to doctors in Eastern Europe, where she lives, but no one can give her a diagnosis or treatment. (She did try physical therapy, but it didnt help at all.)
Any suggestions for a diagnosis? She has had NO injuries, no current life trauma, no digestive, skin or other issues. Her only symptom seems to be the intense pain in her leg. Could this be a symptom of some disease or just arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis? She says that the pain is the whole leg, though, not specifically the joint.
Thanks for the help!!

Severe Tailbone Pain?
Feb 14
since 6th grade, im now a sophomore, ive been having really bad tailbone pain. i went to the doctor and found out i have 3.2 extra inch of bone in my tailbone. so ive been going to physical therapy for about a month now. yesterday i went to physical therapy. this morning i woke up and was sitting on the ground and was getting up when my tailbone just burned from pain. it felt like my tailbone cracked. so then it hurt to bend over and even walk. its been like this allll day long now. it hurts to put pressure on it. especially when i put pressure on my right side of the tailbone. standing up and bending is the worse. wat might be the problem?!
I tore my achilles years ago and have had trouble since. I have been to several docs(all types) and have been told that I have nothing wrong. My foot swells up, turns blue and tingles. If I take lots of ibuprofin and ice it, it seems to feel better. I have had tons of physical therapy to regain at least most of my foots mobility. I injured it again a year ago and was told I do have bones spurs all over my foot/ankle. It was suggested that I have surgery to remove them. Is it wise to have the surgery? I am am worried that I will be told that the pain will never go away. It gets so bad at times that I can’t walk and it interferes with my daily life which is pretty hectic. Any suggestions? Should I go for the surgery?
Severe Knee Pain?
Feb 12
last october i had a “lateral release” surgery done on my knee, which is a procedure where they slice the tendon around the knee to release some of the preasure on the knee-cap. It was great all last winter, but its starting to get bad again, ive been taking pain meds and i dont want to keep resorting to that and end up with stomach or kindey problems later…ive been in and out of physical therapy for years, both before and after the surgery and it doesnt help. the doctor the preformed my surgery now has an office in SC and im in PA…what should i do?? Please give me some options because im tired of being in pain all the time…knee replacement is out of the question because im only 22
