About almost a year ago i woke up with a stiff neck one morning out of nowhere. The pain never went away. I have a stiff neck, mainly on my right side of my neck up to about the middle of my head, tight shoulders, and a tight upper back, all sometimes with pain too. I’ve had an x-ray on my neck which came out normal, physical therapy for 2 months which didnt improve much, and an mri that came back pretty normal on my neck and upper back. Minor scoliosis but the orthopedic doctor saw nothing that looked too extreme, but he was also a clueless idiot. Can anyone help me out…..it’s so stressful, physically and mentally.

About two years I injured my shoulder in a P.E. class, and it hurt ever since.. I went to the doctor around 6 months ago, and got an MRI done, and they said it was tendinitis. I was told to go to 4-6weeks of physical therapy. I went for about thirteen weeks, and when it wasn’t working, or getting any better, (Almost getting worse, still!), I had to stop going. It’s been about two months since then, and it feels worse than ever. I am getting huge knots in my shoulder, by the spine in my neck, and between the bottom shoulder blade and spine. And any little thing will set it off! I really don’t do anything physically exhausting, all have to do is draw. or sew for 15 min. or so and it burns and sting. What should I do?? I have to start a new job soon as a courtesy clerk at fry’s, and i don’t think i can handle the pain of that at the end of the day!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I injured my shoulder 2.5 years ago on my job. I have had 2 surgeries on it since. —-Suprascapular Neoropathy and Sub acromial decompression.— I have no insurance and have paid cash for this. I have had over 3 months of physical therapy. I cannot raise my arm all the way. The only way I am able to use it is with pain medicine(Loratab 10). It really helps me get through the day. I am still seeing an orthapedic doctor.
I just had 2 mri’s of neck and back to see if it is coming from there(they turned up normal). I have seen a doctor for my chronic pain and he referred me to a pain specialist who gives nerve blocks and It’s going to cost around $5000 every 6 months –I cannot afford that. So if my orthepedic doctor gives up on me or refers me to a pain specialist I am out of luck.
I cannot live with this pain… I need a doctor to prescribe me pain medicine I need it! Not for drugs for pain. I live in Dalton Georgia-near Chattanooga. Please help me find one who will help me. Thanks!
Chronic Shoulder Pain?

About 5 years ago i was armwrestling a kid in my class and since then, my shoulder has been injured. The pain is felt primarily in external rotation and i lack complete ROM. I cannot touch the opposite armpit from behind my back because of the injury. I always hear a cracking noise when i twist that shoulder. It only hurts if i do physically straining activities that involve the shoulder. So that rules out any upper body workouts. I went to many dumb doctors who said to ice it and take antiinflamatories, but that didnt work. I then got an MRI that jsut said that i have “mild effusion” , but i doubt this to be true as MRIs are not very accurate for shoulder injuries. I’ve come to the conclusion that the pain is either from the humerus bone (armwrestling often causes humerus bone injuries) or rotator cuff. How can i verify which one it is? What do you guys think my injury is? Trauma induced and external rotation affected primarily. Dont tell me to do physical therapy, i already tried it and it work after doing it for 40 days. I’m 17 btw.

i have had shoulder pain for more than 3 monthes after a swimming injury. i have pain in my shoulder before (even when not swimming) but i didnt take it seriously but after the injury it hurt enough to see a doc. i got x-rays done, been having physical therapy twice a week for 3 monthes and seen a sports medicine physician. i got a mri but my doc said its normal but i requested a copy and it stated:
-benign nodes in shoulder
- fluid in bursa
i have cracking, unbearable pain (with a high pain tolerance), and im on anti-inflammatories, and taping on shoulder but no less pain.
i am also worried because i have found a lump on my collarbone about 6 monthes ago, and forgot about it. now in the shower the other day i felt it and its gotten wayyy bigger.
could the nodes in my shoulder be cancerous? is the lump bad? its on the same side of my injured shoulder so could it be causing pain?
also, im only 13 so how do i tell my parents about the lump,they may not believe me. 10 points!
I have a documented herniated disk which has caused complete havoc on my body. I occasionally suffer pain so intense that my skin aches, my eyes hurt, and I end up vomiting. The pain only gets that bad once or twice a week. I have tried everything from physical therapy to medications. About 2 years ago, a back specialist prescribed me oxycodone to stop the pain from escalating to vomiting. It worked incredibly. The pain was cut off…. my muscles relaxed…. and I would not get sick. I then moved to a different state and the doctors here have been very hesitant to give me narcotics because of the “chance” of addiction. Twenty (10/325) pills would last about 3 months. I hardly see this as “addicted”. But my doctor recently decided to cut off my prescription. I am 25, a senior graduating from a prestigious university, with a 3.9 GPA – hardly the addict type 
How do I find a doctor who will prescribe the medication I need again? HELP! I am in so much pain right now.
I’ve been attending physical therapy for months then I stopped not because the therapy ended. Now, I’m just trying to find other ways of curing my shoulder. I tried to drink pain relievers but the pain eases temporarily then it hurts again.
I had arthroscopic surgery for impingement syndrome in April-2008. I did have physical therapy but I still have considerable pain in my shoulder. I did regain some movement, but I have almost the same pain symptoms as I did before the surgery. I did have a small tear, but not large enough for surgical repair. Has anyone ever had the same results?
i got hit in football and got nerve damage in my right shoulder and ive been going ot physical therapy but its not working so is there a way to fix it without going to physical therapy???

for the past 8years i have been experiencing intense amounts of pain in my right shoulder, a few years ago the pain started to radiate to the left shoulder & neck. I have been in & out of Dr’s, specialists, physical therapy ect. with no relief, or diagnoses. when its bad i cannot lift my arm above my head, cant even dress myself. anytime i move my shoulder it will crack & pop. they have suggested bursitis, tendinitis, and arthritis but it hasnt gotten any better in 8years. recently i saw a chiropractor who revealed my cervical vertebrae has no curve, he believes this is the cause of my shoulder pain.
has anyone experienced anything like this? or seen a chiropractor for a lack of cervical curve? im lost at how to fix my shoulder, any suggestions or ideas would be so appriciated.
