I am 26 yrs old and have been dealing with this for over a year and 1/2. I have been to 3 cardiologists who have confirmed that is not related to my heart. 3 card. and 5 other docs i have seen stated that it could be costochonditis but should have cleared after 6 months by being on roids and anti-inflammation meds. I have had EKGs, xrays, MRIs and stress tests, blood tests, urine tests all have come back negative. I have been through physical therapy as well. I am just 40 lbs overweight is what i am told each time. I have changed my eating habits, excercise by walking more.I am currently taking lyrica, robaxin, savella still feel pain and sometimes have really bad flares up that will take everything out of me.I am at a lost and the pain is taking over my life. I am miserable

27 yo f. 105 lbs 5′4″ I’ve had a sonogram and docs found nothing. One doc thinks it might be a pushed out muscle, she thinks physical therapy can help push it back in.It looks like an oversized love handle and still growing. It doesn’t hurt when I push on it or when when I walk. It’s a very slight pain, that comes and goes every hour or so. I don’t feel it in my spine, just deep in my left side and nothing I do makes it hurt worse. Should docs look for anything else. One doc told me that it’s just fat! Fat doesn’t freaking hurt and I’m skinnier than most of hollywood! Could it be cysts?
I’ve had a pain in my side for a year and a half. It usually only hurts when I sit for extended periods of time greater than 30 minutes. Lately I’ve noticed that it hurts when I come back up after bending over. It’s on my right side and I would guess it’s between about the 3rd or 4th rib from the bottom. I’ve had no blood in urine, no frequent urination, and no painful urination so I’m not too worried about kidneys.
Once I had an x-ray and the doctor said he couldn’t see any kind of infection or broken bones. I had some physical therapy, went to a chiropractor, and have had no success. I would describe it as a stabbing pain that makes me want to lay down. Any clue what it could be?
I have had the worst pain in the right side right above my hip bone for two months. The doctors seem to think it is muscular because they check out my appendix gallbladder and kidneys. They are worried though because i am done to eatting one meal a day and constatly am sleeping when i can. Although they did check mono htey said it came back negative. Tomorrow March 3 will be exactly 3 months from when it happened.
I am currently in physical therapy which is not helping at all it often makes it worse. It has been getting so bad i cant even lift certain things. I am afriad to find out it is my appendix because i have so many friends that have had the same problems as me and then a few months later had emergency surgery for them. I sorta of want to go to the doctor again and find out but i really dont know what else they will tell me to do.
I have already had 2 ultrasounds a ct and 3 blood tests oh and a few urine tests. I want to know whats wrong because it is starting to interfer with my daily life.
Do you have any ideas on what it could be ? (acute appendictis?)
About 2 months ago I was running on my treadmill. I recently increased the mileage and was running about 5 miles a day, without stretching, without warming up or cooling down. Then one day towards the end of a run, my knee locked on the outside of my right knee. I walked out the rest of the half mile. That night there was extreme pain to the point i couldnt walk. I began icing it and taking motrin. It wasnt doing much at all. I went to physical therapy and still there but with little success, my physical therapist says it might be a meniscus tear. From what ive noticed i think it is my IT band. But still to this day its difficult to run and near impossible to move laterally quickly. The side of my knee is stiff and only a little swollen. It is also very tender and stiff on all the tendons coming from the outside of my thigh to my knee. I dont know what to do to fix this nagging problem. My delima is that i ship out to parris island for the marine corps on may 18th. I have to fix my problem. any suggestions? thank you
So I really dont know where to start.Im not quite sure if the pain started before or after i broke my right fibula. But now i constantly have a slight lower back pain only on the right side. I can be sitting and it hurts but standing hurts more. I went to physical therapy and did a lot of stretching for a few months and it got better a little. And it does feel tight so wen i stretch it does feel better. HERE is the WEIRD PART. Whenever i have to use the restroom #2 the pain acts up even more or it tightens up even more and stretching really has no affect on it. After I use the restroom however the pain lessens significantly and then the stretches do have affect. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
I have had terrible pain in my head and neck muscles for 3 years now. The pain effects my jaw joints, my neck is always stiff with knots in the back of my neck, I have head pain in the area between my ear and temple that on most days I want to put a drill into that spot. Sometimes the pain shoots up the top of my head. I have had CT scan, MRI both negative, seen my GP, an ENT, did 6 months of physical Therapy, had a nerve conduction, Saw a dentist who made me a night guard for possible TMJ and they all haven’t fixed the problem & sent me to everyone else. Can anyone relate, or maybe help me in a new direction?
even in my head. I have a feeling of slight fluid retention in my left leg and right arm only. I also have a fluid feeling and sometimes pain in my heart area. A massage therapist told me that two of my dics were our of place, I have had chest x-trays and went to physical therapy, I have really bad post nasal drip and allergies too along with heart palpatations and low engery levels. Could this all be from the injury, if so how long does it take to recover from a serious imapct injury, I know I have chest problems of some sort because of it and it is causing problems in my left side and heart area or maybey I now have heart problems becauuse of it but I had an EKG that was ok and normal chest x-rays.
I had this pain before undergoing a surgery to repair a tear in my labrum and it went away while i was immobilized. Since I started doing physical therapy, it has started hurting and becoming a problem again. The pain is dull, but persistent and annoying. I’m wondering if these are the symptoms of a tear or if it’s a pull in the muscle from overuse. regardless, what is a treatment that could help me alleviate the problem??
