I just started physical therapy today. The physical therapist was pressing so hard into my stomach muscle, that I have his fingernail marks in my skin. Is this normal?

I have a frozen shoulder and skin cancer. Is the ultrasound used in physical therapy contraindicated to treat my aching shoulder? Please help. Thanks.
