What Are Some Physical Therapy Exercises For A Sprained Ankle?

ok so yesterday (Wednesday 25) i sprained my ankle in track practice and the sports doctor on campus said it was only mild but to stay off it for a while and not to run in the meet this week. but what i want to know is if it will be ok to go back to running again on Monday and if there are any physical therapy exercises i can do. its still a little swollen and hurts some.

Help! My Foot (my Heel) Is In Serious Pain. I Srinted Bare-foot And I Believe I Have Sprained A Tendon……

Help! My foot (my heel) is in serious pain (the part right below my arch), and has been so since late Apirl. I srinted several track-races bare-foot and i believe I have sprained a tendon. Physical therapy hasn’t helped. I roll it over a golf-ball (this hurts like crazy) but it hasn’t gotten better; I walk with a heel-cup which cushions it, but it hasn’t healed. I don’t know what to do. Any ideas? The Doctor, Physical Therapist, Heel Cup, Colf Ball, and stretches haven’t done much good. I hope the community can. Please help! (btw, I am flat-fotted (no arch)).

How Much Would Physical Therapy For A Sprained Ankle Cost?

My mom says we don’t have enough money for me to go to therapy right now, but I have been making enough so I think I can pay for it myself. Does anyone have an estimate from previously having gone through physical therapy? Thanks

Physical Therapy Exercises For A Sprained Ankle?

Sprained my left ankle badly during my fall season for soccer. Landed on it with a kid falling on my leg which made the injury even worse. I have been in physical therapy for the trainer for multiple weeks, still throbs randomly.
What can I do on my own in terms of exercises to better the pain and how often to make the pain be gone for good?

How Important Is Physical Therapy In The Recovery From A Sprained And Strained Ankle?

I’m 35, healthy, not overweight, female, get good nutrition, have no other medical conditions. Got a grade 2 sprain and a grade 3 strain 2 weeks ago. Now able to walk without crutches or cane while wearing an athlete’s brace. (Vinyl, steel reinforced, laces up, and you can wear it inside your shoe.)
When I went in for physical therapy evaluation, I was given a piece of paper with 4 very simple, non-weight bearing exercizes I am to do with my injured foot/ankle. 10 reps, 3 times a day each. And I am not to do the exercizes to the point where they cause me pain, but it is okay to do them to the point of discomfort. (‘Ankle pumps’, ‘draw the alphabet with your toe’, etc.)
I am doing these simple exercizes, and will continue. But how important is it to set up future appointments with physical therapist? She wants me to come in 3 times a week for the next three weeks. Will this really hasten my recovery?
